Question SCCA and NASA roll bar requirements for T-top Fbodies

Does the SCCA require roll bars for running PDX's in a Camaro or Trans Am with t-tops? What about NASA and HPDE's? I don't have my rule pdf's with me at work. I think NASA rules say that some cars with t-tops do not require roll bars for track days. If you can't tell, I have never been on a road course before, just 3 autocrosses, years ago.

Do these cars do well in roll overs? Do any of you have any pictures of a t-top fbody that has rolled a few times?

not sure about nationwide, but here in jersey only convertibles are required to have a bar, regardless of having the top up or down. t-tops are fine.

keep in mind that some, if not all tracks, have a minimum space requirement between your helmet and any bars. they usually use a broomstick as a gauge, move it around your helmet and see if it touches anything.

if you do any kind of wheel-to-wheel racing, then a full cage is required, regardless of the car type.

NASA HPDEs do not require roll bars for t-top cars.
