Im somwhat getting my car to handle RR too. Its still a DD with some suspention and Chassis mods. Im setting up for alot bigger track though. The Nurnberg ring. Im station out in Germany and thought, hey why not lol. CAnt wait until after winter

i road race mine. i am soon pulling the trigger on some Konis to go with my Strano springs as my stock shocks just cant take it anymore lol. all you need to get started is some good fluid and pads. and if you have leather, dont clean them before hand otherwise you will be sliding all over the place.

Brakes are your number 1 time saver. better brakes less time braking. I'd upgrade to vette brakes, or a whole new set of brakes. ( C6 front calipers etc can be put on for less than $600. then C6 brembro's totaling a little over $1K after that your looking at 2-3K in brakes.
on the vette brakes(if you go C5) SS pistons help the heat transfer a little.
