Camera Mount This might belong in here... Has anyone found a good camera mount (either built or bought) for a digital camcorder? I don't have a roll or harness bar. I just need something that the autocross tech's will be ok with. I figured out a way with a tripod and bungee cords that holds it in well, but I have no doubt the tech's will not like it. Too bad my seats don't have an adjustable headrest. I was looking at the cruise/cone cam, but I would rather a cheaper option.

I think your going to be out of luck unless you get a suction type mount that you can put on the roof/hood. With out some form of roll or harness bar your otions are going to be VERY limited for a camera mount.
I didn't see how it was mounted, but I saw an aluminum box hanging in the hatch of a Camaro recently (owner is on FRAXX.com as GuySS) that a camera was mounted in. I think it attached to the light, but don't even have a car here to look at.
I'm planning on fabing up my own design for mounting to the roll bar. You may have to get a roll bar just to have a place for your camera! Seriously, you should consider a roll bar anyway. Adds both safety and rigidity to the car.

Two U Bolts, a fence-post-tie-plate, some nuts, and a long bolt for the camera bottom. Add to that a tie-down strap and a few slices of tire inner tube, and you're good to go.
