But yes it's a first gen. In my defense you didn't mention 4th gen explicitly. But you did mention your car, which your profile pic clearly shows a fourth gen. So I guess I was a little bit But I was proud of myself and wanted to show off
No worries, every little bit helps. I was just messing with you. I do have a second gen also so maybe I can still use your info!

I'm looking into this as well, I'd like to have one for quick hook up front and rear.

12,000lbs. given the amount of wingdings on the drum it's not pulling that.

Good lord lol. I used a 2500lbs winch in my trailer and it pulled my car in just fine. Now if I broke something and had to drag the car in there with the wheels locked up it would be much harder.

All about dat angle yo.

If you have an enclosed with a large rear door/ramp your entry angle is A LOT less than mine. Therefor your resulting pulling force required is less, that's why your 2500lb winch works for a free rolling car. I have a steeper ramp angle plus a couple of abrupt edges for the wheels to ride up that you can hear the winch slightly bog down.

I could simply cut the cable to where I have maybe only 2 windings on the drum and "up" my pulling force, but I don't care that much.

Engineering 101. Go more than you need so you are never in need of more. (I just made that up....sweet)

Oh absolutely, I was just messing with you. My enclosed was (sold it) very low and flat, the winch didn't have nearly as much work to do as yours does. Nothing wrong with having more than you need but for $50 my little winch made me smile!
