275/35/18 Conti Extreme Contactsports. I bought them before I ever went to an event. Tire of choice at all of the events I've been to seems to be the Bridgestone RE-71R.

AROC courses are always like that... many many cones, no racing line selection and no slaloms. I thought the event was at Schoolcraft this week? Where was that? I went to Toledo last weekend, 2/3 mile course there! Grattan AutoX this week and maybe MSCC the week after... maybe see you there.

Good job wheeling the car, looks like you are getting the hang of it. I think you know I am running 285/30R18 RE71R, but the A052 look appealing and come in 315/30R18, current plan is to try those next year.

AROC ran at a parking lot of Oakland University in Auburn Hills. They're at schoolcraft next month. I thought about Toledo but I really just needed an event to test out the latest Watts link adjustment I made and AROC was 20 mins from my house compared to 1hr 20 for Toledo. September looks like a good month to get some runs in. I'll be doing MSCC on 9/8, Toledo or Aroc 9/22, DRSCCA 9/29 and CCM 10/13.

I just had my RE71's flipped and got a race alignment done. My tires have 16 events on them (3 with co-drivers) and roughly 2000+ street miles. I have a race tomorrow, we'll see how they do. FWIW I should have had them flipped about 4 or 5 events ago. I will buy them again for sure just for the fact that I can get so many quality laps out of them. I'd like to try the Advan's as well, but I haven't heard much feedback about them.

The Yokohamas are fastest on the first run and no matter what you do they only get slower as the day goes on. They also don't really tolerate strut suspensions without camber. Keep them happy though and they are currently the fastest 200TW tire.

A local guy runs them on his Subaru. I asked him about them and he started talking way over my head with terms and stuff lol. He said there are instances where the Advans are better than the RE-71's. He won Nationals with them but he wasn't convinced that they are better overall. At least thats what I took from what he told me. They don't even make them in my size anyway.
