they are on a different line on the class rules and I suspect good differentials are even harder to find
guess Ill just replace this diff every 40 events since there doesn't appear to be any good alternatives.

It seems as if everyone has an opinion on what doesn't work but no one knows what does work.
Has Eaton ever fixed the case issue?

The true trac is the only 10 bolt diff that survives. Could it have a better bias ratio? Yes, but at least it’s not a flaming pile of **** like the Auburn. I gave up on the Auburn after killing 4 in a row.

OS said no way Jose. They got bought out and somehow that's the reason they won't touch a c clip diff. So now the question is who else do we badger in pursuit of a Salisbury diff for these cars? Kaaz? Some European company? Does anyone in the US make one?

My latest hope is Variloc. They make Salisbury diffs for stick axles right here in the US of A. They haven't answered my email, so hopefully I can sneak in a phone call to them at work today.

Varilock huh, at this point I'd be interested in almost anything that last longer. my brake pads last longer than my differentials

Variloc can do it, but any custom diff is much easier to make once you eliminate the c clips. Variloc can do one offs as well, so no minimum to buy from them. Apparently the clips will load and unload the clutch packs and make the diff very erratic mid corner. So looks like I'm in it for a diff and c clip elimination. I'd like to try adding a half degree of camber to my spare housing as well.

its not looking good for an ESP car. I really wish the Eaton posi wouldn't break so easily. it worked well for the few races it ran

I'm guessing ESP can't ditch the c clips?

Has anyone tried one of the clutch type posi units from Yukon or Powertrax? Seems it'd function like a Ford traklok posi.

Maybe Sam has. The Eaton was pretty good for a short bit but the case failed.

I'm pretty sure you can't use c-clip eliminators in ESP. But the rule book is online as PDF, so check it out.
