Poor mans adj. front struts
Put a Eibach Pro kit on and the front is too low for me. Is there any way to raise it about a 1/5 inch or so. How bout machining a spacer to go between the strut and the bottom of the spring. How bout a spacer betweem the stut top and the fender?

Re: Poor mans adj. front struts
Come on now, ain't this ever happened to anyone here The springs were only supposed to give about 1.25 to 1.5 inch drop, I think it's a little lower. Dumb me didn't measure before. I was thinking about machining a spacer to put between the strut and the bottom of the spring. Maybe a spacer between the upper strut and the inner fender. Someone recomended putting spacers between the lower strut mounts along with longer bolts. What is my best bet, don't really want to buy more springs.

Personally, I'd opt for the spacer on the bottom of the spring, under the plastic part....just don't get carried away, IOW, less than 3/8". I'm not sure how much lift this will give you though....

Thanks, had this up here and the "other" board for a while with not much input. I must be cursed with being the poster boy for Murphy's Law!

Contact Ground Control with your questions. They might be able to help. They may have ride height adjusters that you can use.

You know whats odd? My Pro Kit didnt lower my front end *enough*. It looks slightly strange in the air compatred to the rear. Makes you wonder about the quality control an Eibach. I hope I didnt get an LT-1 car set. I have a set of Jamex if these cant be figured out.

Cover top & bottom coils with the thickest
pcs. of heater hose you can find? Possibly
two layers 1/2 id & 3/4 id? Should work and still keep it quiet.

Re: Poor mans adj. front struts
Well, I had a brain cramp and didn't measure the hieght before so I'm only guessing. The rear looks about right. The front looks like more than 1.25 inches though, maybe 1.5 or 2 inches. I scrape the stock Y-pipe on speed bumps. I swear it's more than 1.25 inches.
