What Stall Converter do You Use Road Racing?

i have a vig 3200 and was at road america this last weekend. it was a sweet converter for sure. just came out of the turns and i didnt spin- it just went <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
trans got REALLY hot though. might want a smaller yank maybe,

can u have a stall converter and auto-x?? or is it just not a good idea? does any1 here autocross or roadrace with a stall converter? your thoughts? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I have autoxed with my ~4200 stall before. One that big will really kill the throttle inputs. Not to mention roasting the tires pretty good coming out of any tight corner. I'd go with something under 3000, or get a manual. Big converters = big heat. Big heat = dead autos.

The SY3500 is very good for the rolling start. For AutoX you should have gotten the M6 but if you want to drive AutoX with luxurious ease in an Auto, then get the SY3500
