Anyone interested? We really need close to 10 cars due to a price and structure change from Talladega Gran Prix Raceway. Here is a link to Tally's website with the price breaks- http://www.tgprace.com/leasing.htm

It's still the 22nd but I'm getting afraid that the interest will not be there. We really need at least 5 folks and I would prefer ten. I can't believe that there isn't more interest in an event like this?

Back to the top. The GAFBA website is down for construction so if anyone wants to go please send me a check for 240$ {right now, may get a refund if more people show up} to-
John McCutcheon
5680 Burruss Rd.
Cumming Ga. 30040
I really need the money by the end of the week or our reserved date will be given away. If we miss it, the checks will be returned. Remember, we will be getting alot of track time {something like 6-8 hours!} for not alot of money. We are basing the price on 5 people right now so the price is 240$ but as I said before,,, if more people show up the price could drop to as low as 120$ for ten or more people.

The event turned out great!!! Each person had around 5-6 twenty minute sessions at a price of 100 bucks. Actually it was 120 bucks since two folks had the miss-fortune of not making it {hate to rub it in, especially when I know it was unavoidable but yea,,, we had fun}.
There were only a few off track excursions and they were all grass cutting events, nothing major at all. Had a cookout of questionable palatability thanks to my inability to buy the right stuff. I do want to thank the chef for doing her best with what I provided her with, you did great and we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts {well, um,, stomachs that is}.
For our first time, the event was fairly organized. Signing the needed documents, tech and setting up run/work order went rather smoothly and we were on track on time. But in practice it's {corner working/run order} something I need to work on for the next event as I think we could have gotten in two more sessions rather easily. Sorry about that folks.
I think it is fairly safe to say the Paul Whittle in his Super Stalker was the fastest at a time of around 1:13-1:14 seconds. I think Tony {Thawk} was next with about a 1:14-1:15 second lap time. I think the two Minis were in the 1:18-1:19 range and I'm sorry but I have forgotten the rest of the times. Big disclaimer here,,,, I say the above times are close,,, I was timing using the second hand of my watch and my memory is not the best,,, actually far from the best.
