i believe a dry sump a far better oil system because it keeps a constant flow to the motor and never starves it of oil...but it's very expensive. but i'm no expert. maybe someone else can comment?

Dry sump is better than the stock setup, but it is not economical. The stock pump is fine for street use and drag racing...it's plenty efficient and reliable. The main reason for a dry sump setup is for road racing. Under high g turns, oil tends to slosh to one side of the pan causing no oil to be pumped to the motor. In a dry sump setup there is ALWAYS a constant flow of oil to the engine no matter what the conditions are. But a good dry sump setup will start at around $3k and goes up to around 5-6k.

For a race car yes. For a street car, not really.

unless you run an LS7 setup with factory dry sump oiling
