Default hpde california speedway

I'm thinking about doing the hpde in california speedway march 10-12 but I've never done anything like this before. Ive been doing some research and talked to a couple of people and it sounds like a blast. Is anyone else going or run thier cars in events like that for fun? Also how do I get involved in the scca? I think they do a road course at qualcom (chargers stadium) which is much closer to me but havent been able to find much information about it.

I could have put this in the western forum but thought it might be better here.

Well I love HPDE or any track event. I suppose that I might not make my first one the annual NASA event at Cal Speedway. Mostly cause they use the full ALMS course and I don't know if I would want to be a rookie on that fast a track.

I know for a fact I would never instruct there. It is too fast both on the banking and in the infield to trust a novice driver.

It may have to do with the fact that I have been upside down there, but I think not. I personally love the track but in a fully caged race car.
