Default will I be able to autocross w/the setup I currently have?

Moser 9" rearend, detroit locker, 35 spline gundrilled axles; Aluminium center section; 4 channel ABS brakes w/traction control; 4.30 gears; narrowed 2.5.

Locally every year they have a "festival of speed" contest where they go to a road course, 1/4mi. track and autocross. I was just wondering if it'd cause too many problems to road course and autocross my car w/my setup on there? I just bought this car. I'm used to my old vette in my sig, but I no longer have it. Thanks for your help--Andy

Default

With that rear gear, you are going to be well into 3rd gear on a lot of courses. The locker will probably cause some push (understeer) on corner entry, and you will need to be careful when applying throttle on corner exit (locked rear end + lots of throttle = oversteer).

I would say it's doable (some CP cars run a rear end setup similar, some even run lockers!), but take it slow the first few runs and get a feel for what the car is going to do.
