Default Search is down - Torque Arm & Brackets

I finally have enough money to get into some suspension work now

But I do ahve some questions before I buy anything and the search is broke...as usual.

Torque Arms - This car is going to see the twisties, and drag racing as well so im not looknig for a perfect 50/50 mix since I know it can't be done, but a happy medium. I know there is the Tranny mounted version, and the tunnel mount. Which would be best for handeling and some drag racing?

Relocation brackets - Good for road racing or not? I'll be getting LCA's and I know that for drag racing the brackets and arms go hand in hand.

All suspension components will be comming from UMI if that helps yall out some.

Thanks for your help in Advance!

The LCA's need to be level at ride height. If they aren't level, it will cause excessive rollsteer (the body rolls and the axle no longer points the same direction as the car).

IIRC, drag racers like to lower them as much as possible. For optimum handling, the LCA's need to be level, and allow freedom of movement. Thus, an LCA with a poly bushing at both ends is bad, because poly won't allow the axle to twist when the body rolls. An LCA with dual heim joints or a heim and poly would work much better.

I was recommended a tranny mounted tq. arm (pinion adjustable) for RR. SLP was fine.

Relocation brackets are good if the LCA's end up level. Whatever it takes to make the LCA's level at ride height is the 'right' setup.

Sam suggested rod ended LCA's and no relocation brackets if running his springs. I have a Spohn TA and works good for Drag racing and Auto X. I wouldn't use this TA for any Road racing as it will give you wheel hop during hard braking in the corners.

From what I have been told, you'll want a "long TA". That is one that mounts to the trans or using BMR relocation brackets.
