Wheel / Tire Q...Yes...Another One...
I'm ready to pull the trigger on some ccw wheels. http://www.ccwheel.com/misc/Corsair%20C14/BA_Whole.jpg
I am wanting to know the best street/race set up. Got a lot of new power to put on the ground and the understeer is still going to be there as well but am thinking to keep them 18's - not going 19's as they suggested at ccw.
Currently I have 245/45/18 & 275/40/18 GSD3's - rubber will be changing as well.
Question - Is a staggered placement more of a desirable set up for the track or is say 275's in all corners?
Other choice would be to go 275 F (rollin' fenders) & 295 or 315 in the rear?
Personally the 275 all the way around would keep the rubber longer but am really looking at performance related results.
Thanks in advance,
Chef

Just my $.02, I have no experience w CTS-Vs, but...
If you already have understeer, a larger rear tire will likely make it worse. However, a larger Front tire would help. So if I were you I would go for the 275s all around.

Do you have a more autocross or roadrace friendly alignment? That can help minimize understeer.
Keeping all four tires the same size works if the car is a DD, but if you can afford to go wider in the rear (and it won't exacerbate the understeer) I'd say go for it.

Found this doing a search, but their site is not complete - http://toyo.tirepartnersplus.com/home.htm Somewhere in Phoenix; not sure if they will have the R888s. Good luck!
