Default road race roll bar

anyone know of a company that makes a roll bar set-up geared towards road racing for our cars? i'm not looking for an all out cage...just everything behind the front seats for practical safety.

sorry... i own a '94 camaro Z28, but figure it fits into the firebird the same. didnt mean to exclude the corvette. I'm sure a company that is into a GM car may cover them all.

Are you wanting a bolt in 4 point or a weld in?

We can build you a weld in 4 point without any problem, with any bracing you would want. Getting it from Texas to Maryland might be a problem though.

weld-in would be ideal, but the car isn't a dedicated track car. i think it's best for me to get a 4 point bolt-in with the welded on diagonal cross bar.

Default Rollbar

For the money Autopower seems to be one of the better products. Most products are usually in stock.

autopower is great if its a somewhat-track driven car (meaning still on the street, but driven hard on track)

i had one for a while in my car before i went to a full cage, loved it. fitment is kinda iffy if you are stripping the interior out, but if you leave all the stock pieces in tact it fits pretty well.

I have an Autopower as well. Rear seats are useless with it, but it does the trick and relatively inexpensive.

You mean you use your rear seats for something other than grocery bags?

If you get the auto power one make sure you opt for the removable cross brace. It take's about 5 min to remove and allows better acess to the rear. I had to remove on long night so my co-driver could rest. I was able to fit 2 car seats in the rear with the seats removed.

If you're over 6' tall, you will probably have head/helmet clearance issues with the main hoop of an Autopower bar. Best to find an F-body with a roll bar in your area to sit in and see how well you fit. Also, stock seats sit much higher; an aftermarket seat may sit lower depending on brand, and allow you to increase your head/helmet clearance.
