Have you been out to Willow Springs with the car?
It was at the end of turns 3 and 15 at Thunderhill.

Yes, it's been out to Willow, but not in it's current, faster chassis set-up. So it wasn't handling anywhere near it's capacity when we were at Willow Springs.

As an example, we were at about 1:31 as a best time at Willow Springs before and 1:59 as our best at Thunderhill. In the '08 25 of Thunderhill, 12 hours into it we posted a 1:53, with more in the car. So at Willow with an excellent driver, I think it's reasonable to consider mid to upper 1:20's.

Thanks, we have been running the NASA Western Endurance Racing Championship, ES class. I'm on hold whether a client will run this whole series this year, so don't know yet what this year holds. I have another client who wants to rent the car out for a couple events at Thunderhill with SCCA and also Miller Motorsports Park for their big bore series.

I was very very happy with the improved times at Thunderhill. After the upgrade to the LS2 (from LS1) with the dry sump, FAST int/tb/fuel rails, forged internals, we should pick up another 40-70hp or so. I'm curious what we'll be able to do when heading back to Thunderhill and Willow.

Stay tuned...

3qt accu-sump with oil cooler, manual switch

LS6 with 224/224 581/581 112 cam, 918 springs ( changed each winter and valves checked) and 22,000 hard 3,000 to redline track miles.

The accu-sump was the best mod for my car.

Next build most likley will be a Daily Dry sump system

Did anyone add a Dry Sump to their engine and if so, did you sacrifice the Air Conditioning to accomplish this? If not, which engine block did you use?
