Little Dissapointed With My Power Output, Would Like Some Opinions
setup:
LS2 Block 365 C.I.
Stock crank
R&R steel billet rods
Manley forged pistons 10.1:1 compression
PRC 2.5 LS6 Heads .650 dual springs
East Coast Supercharging "big" blower cam (dont release exact specs)
80# injectors
Twin Bosch 340LPH in-tank fuel pumps
Aeromotive Boost referenced regulator
D1-SC with SDCE tensioner at 13.7#'s (7.25 crank pulley / 3.55 Blower Pulley)
ATI twin intercoolers (4.5 inch)
Snow Performance Stage 2 Water/Methanol injection (Dual Nozzle)
60% methanol 40%water
1-3/4 longtube headers
3 inch y-pipe (no cats)
borla catback (full open)
Performabuilt lvl 3 4l65e transmission
Yank PY3400 stall
PST 3.5 inch driveshaft
Moser 9-inch (3.50 gearset)
i attached my dyno graphs.
My builder is telling me the twin intercoolers are the reason im not at my 750rwhp goal and if i do a frontmount intercooler ill pick up the boost im losing along with switching over to pure methanol injection rather than my water/meth mix.
Im looking for opinions and help to get to my goal of 750-800 rear wheel horsepower. Thanks.

Well that auto isn't helpin you chase rwhp #'s I would think with that CR/heads/365ci/13psi you would have a little more power tho... Is the tune pretty conservative?
From what I have read you might be at the limit of
Those 4.5's if I were you I would put a big FMIC on it and sell the 4.5's and break even or make a few $$(unless you buy prochargers fmic then you will have to add $$)

I personally dont believe the twin 4.5s are where your not meeting your goal. We have a C5 at the shop right now that makes 875 to the tire through an auto and twin 4.5s on a 347. Granted it does have Trickflow heads, and an F1A. Not saying a front mount wouldnt help, but I dont believe that is your biggest issue.
What is the intake setup on the blower? If it is still what ATI sends in the kit, that is one restriction. Another would be your 1 3/4 headers. You will be pretty hard pressed to get 750+ RWHP out of that D1SC on a street build like this. If you are looking for those kind of numbers, I would recommend an F1A to better suit. The D1SC will have to be spun very hard, and be making a ton of heat to produce those kinds of numbers.

it is "conservative" according to my tuner but he said not "too conservative", i am planning on stepping up to a frontmount in spring but i do know of people making crazy power through the 4.5 twins... the inlet on the blower has the bigger 9 inch filter on it from brute speed and im going to add the small filter that attaches to the inlet hat itself

At the old shop we had a 2004 Corvette manual transmission with stock displacement, 9.5/1 compression, Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam, Patriot Stage 11 heads, Hooker shorty emission 1-3/4 headers, stock cats and a D-1SC at 16 psi. It made 740 rwhp on 93 octane and 100% methanol. This was using the 4.5" twin intercoolers.
Are you sure the water in the methanol mixture isn't putting the flame out? I'd try 100% methanol. I'd also drop down to a 3.40 pulley unless you're already at max impeller speed. You have to keep in mind you have a 3400 stall converter, you're not going to see great dyno numbers. Bob

We ran the 3.5" cores on the RX7 and LTD. We were seeing some pretty high IAT numbers on hot days at the track, so they were replaced with the 31x12x3 CX intercooler. This is also with a turbo, so not a real good comparison for a D1 car sense we can just up the boost where ever going down the track we want. We also changed quite a few things and didn't have a back to back comparison of the twin vs single intercooler for HP but it have lower IATs during hard boost pulls.

get the truck inlet hat....big filter and fmic....
add a cutout to those headers instead of running it through the full exhaust.
run 100% meth as mentioned.
your still able to pulley down. anything around 680-725rwhp on an auto stalled setup will be a win IMO.

I picked up 1.5 #'s on the stock hat by adding a filter to the by pass return hole and a bigger main filter. I'm only running a 3.7" pulley with the SDCE.

Water offers better detonation suppression and chamber cooling vs methanol.
