Default Ok found one car on boosted list with fast 90 tb anymore dyno numbers.

I have a fast 90 and going to use it on my twin turbo likely 408 engine.
Anyone running a fast 90/90 setup with a blower or turbo. I have seen that one on the boosted list and it said like 800rwhp I think it was..some lingenfelter engine or something.

There has to be a few more of you 90/90 guys on turbos or blowers.
Or does everyone sell off their 90/90s and go for a ls6 intake and reg tb?

There are too many boosted cars putting out big numbers (Not me, I am just your average guy with 500 rwhp) 600+ rwhp with the stock tb/ls6 intake combo. So most people do not bother with them.

Stock TB and LS6 intake here. I'm sure it would support 800rwhp if I had the guts and the fuel to do it. I'll find out for ya in 6 months though. :p

Yep thats the one I saw on the boosted list and it looks like it does fine with the fast on there.

I wanted it for a couple reasons. One was the direct port nitrous and burst panel for nitrous options. The other was figured while peak power might not be much higher from some dyno tests area under the curve might be better and it might make a diff at huge power levels on a big 400 plus motor.
Gmr customer was going to use one but now switched at last minute.Too bad didn't get dyno of the fast 90 and his newest manifold..

Um don't care about single plane intake numbers..only care about fast 90 and 90 tb numbers. I am sure the single plane can work well but not interested in one.

Default Fast Intake

Numbers in the sig, Made that before the fast intake install and made the same number after the install. The fast intake made no difference in HP on my setup.

I'd email Tom@ls1speed.com and get his thoughts on the FAST 90. They went 8.9's with theirs. I have no idea if they had any sealing problems along the way or whether it was low maintenance.

Man that's a TON of money for no gain at all... The N/A guys act like it's a must-have. I question it's hp/$ in that role too...

I have a 408 with an f1r blower makes well over 800rwhp but I have all supporting mods I used a 90mm fast and a nick williams tb but I have switched to a sheetmetal intake now and have retained NW tb but I dont no the gains over ls6 manifold though just like you said the guys that are NA buy it before anything as if it were worth 150 hp price/hp ratio just isnt there.

I think that the cost of a 90/90 set up doesn't really make up for it in hp. I have yet to see many cars that made a huge gain from it even in N/A form. It kind of reminds me of when I bought my LS6 intake when my car was N/A. I added it and gained maybe 10 hp and 10 ft lbs. of torque for $500... I wish that I would have just bought a TnT Wet kit with that money and gained much more that!

Again I thought it would be worth something on a bigger 400 up size motor since the ls2 and ls7 come with big intakes and tbs. As I said a few times the direct port option is one reason got it and the burst panels are also maybe a good idea with nitrous.
Direct port is just another intimidation /car show type mod but small shots of spray do work well with turbos also. I doubt would ever go past 100 shot.

I will be happy with the fast as long as it don't blow apart and since some boosted cars have run it ,don't think it could be that bad. I would email that address you gave me Pro Stock but not sure they would talk to me being didn't buy the fast from them.
Also while the peak power was no better in most dynos on the fast 90 maybe the area under the curve or other things was better?
I would still think a fast 90/90 type setup would outperform the ls6 or ls1 intakes and small tbs.
In my dsm upgrading the intake and tb seems to help quite a bit for power, especially in the upper rpm ranges.

I recall Speed Inc. thinking the FAST 90 was worth like a tenth, but maybe Jim, Dan or Tom will chime in and tell us for sure.

It has its applications, but I still think that the cost doesn't out weigh the results you gain from it. I would rather up the boost or change out a pill to get more power!

Running a stock 98 ls1 intake and unported TB here. See sig. And I doubt that it'll be a drawback till 800+rwhp. Eventually I'll do an ls6 intake.
