Procharger or Vortech
1. Does anyone here have drive belt issues (torn, broke, etc.)?
2. Out of the two, which one would be more reliable on a daily driver?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions......

You're right, it does seem stupid. If you would let that determine which S/C you bought then you probably don't know much about superchargers.
Oh, I vote ATI, BTW.

Their both pretty solid kits, I've researched both, and I know the ATI is more popular mainly due to being able to expand on power. But I don't ever plan on going over 500rwhp, so baseing my desicion on the ram air option I believe is reasonable. Different strokes. BTW TS6 you kinda sound like a dick.
I think the WS6 hoods look great, and mean, and I wouldn't want to change the look either. But that has nothing to do with FI.
I don't know anything about ATI except that they won't publish their compressor maps, and that makes me a little suspicious.
My Vortech-blown 383 is running great, but I can't speak for the reliability - I've only got 6K miles on her.

If you are into bling though, the Vortech is right there in your face, where you don't see much of an ATI ProCharger.
The ATI ProCharger has it's own oil supply, there is no sharing the engine oil, no having to route oil lines to the engine, no poking a hole into the oil pan, no chance of oil contamination from one component to the other.
The ATI ProChargers have air to air intercoolers, which will stay cooler for street use than an air to water design. We see the air to water intercoolers on cars and trucks lose 50 rwhp on my dyno after the first run, where the air to air intercoolers lose 10 to 15 rwhp hot lapping them. Bob
