The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
You dont want to run a hot plug like that because of detonation
The combustion chamber pressure rises when you boost and casues more heat. The hotter plug wont pull the heat out of the combustion chamber as well as a colder plug. Too much heat is bad could pre ignite the incoming charge as well. And as for the gap the electrode needs to be closer to the arch because the less the spark has to travel under boost the less chance it will get blown out. The in coming charge is moving way faster then it would on a N/A car and if its gap too big then it will get blown out
I hope this makes sense
