I think most people in the FI section use them or have used them.
Generally thats all we use.

I use them but what about the auto lights? Ive heard about them r they better??

when on boost should i change spark plugs to the tr-6's?

The tr-6 is a colder plug than the stock tr55. It is recommended to swap to colder plugs on FI or nitrous setups. Heck, even when n/a I had to change to the tr6 because my tr55 ran too hot.

haha, i planned on getting nitrous so went ahead and threw those in there, now i dont know what im doing, but they still work fine n/a.

I run them on a driver with 18.5 psi on 93 octane, still look perfect after 1 year of driving!

Thanks alot for the input fellas. That helps alot. I have good thing about them I am going to gap mine about thirty on 8psi. Hopefully fix my spark blow out on the TR55 that were gapped at 40.

my tr55's are gap at 60 factory spec is that bad?

I gapped mine to .040", but I am curious what other guys have them gapped at.

been running TR6's since ProCharging the 5.3L(several years)...gapped at 0.030...

You dont want to run a hot plug like that because of detonation The combustion chamber pressure rises when you boost and casues more heat. The hotter plug wont pull the heat out of the combustion chamber as well as a colder plug. Too much heat is bad could pre ignite the incoming charge as well. And as for the gap the electrode needs to be closer to the arch because the less the spark has to travel under boost the less chance it will get blown out. The in coming charge is moving way faster then it would on a N/A car and if its gap too big then it will get blown out I hope this makes sense

Theres actually a colder plug than the tr-6. NGK makes a tr-8 plug, thats what i have been running in my car boosted
