LS3 vs L92 Valves, side by side comparison
LS3 vs L92 Valves, side by side comparison I got my new GM LS3 hollow stem intake valves today from the dealership (#12569427).
I was only expecting them to the exact same valve but with a hollow stem to make them lighter, but I was wrong. They look much more finished than the stock L92 valves. They are fully machined on the top of the head and on the bottom side as well, where the L92 piece looks cast. So if your looking at complete cylinder heads on ebay or something and are wondering if they have the hollow stem valves or not, check out the bottom of the valve for a possible give a way.
I had to weight them for myself even though I had seen posted weights in other threads. I saw a 19g difference between the two.
