I'll be running this 102 intake (which Tony Mamo @ AFR is porting), FAST LS2 60# injectors with adapters, FAST LS2 fuel rails, AFR 230 V2's and a still unspec'd cam that Tony is also doing for me. The TB is the Godspeed 102 with a 4" silicon bellows.

And I'll be running 42# SVO/Greentop injectors. Got my rails on the way and something tells me I'll have to hunt around for the spacers.. :-\

I started taking the intake apart and smoothing out the rough edges. (Around the horns/runners) There's a LOT of them! I'm pretty nervous to do ANY port work, so I'm not going to. I was talking with Tony about having it ported. I'll have to try for it later this summer as my funds for this are almost dried up as it is.

My work slowed to a crawl, so the checks did too. Build is on hold for a couple weeks. Just working on polishing up my other VC now. Gotta do the steam vents today and try to get the car up on jack stands to do some minor maint work underneath.

^ Talk to the right people and you can get a deal.

Sorry about getting back to this so late, but what would be a good deal on an untouched (unported) 92 or 102 intake? Used of course...I'm still in college so it's pretty hard to throw money all over the place haha.

Also what are some of the gains you guys are picking up with these things? The ebay throttle bodies seem like an awesome piece!

Hopefully this doesn't hijack the thread at all

Take your time and it'll look great. Good choice holding off on the 'home port'! Tony or nothin for the FAST stuff, IMO. Can't wait to sort out my mess to post some induction pics...

I bought a 92mm tb from a guy and turned out it was an ebay tb. I had lots of issues with it as far as bolting it all together... the throttle cable would not fit on the tb so I had to make the hole bigger. The tps and Iac holes were off and wouldn't fit properly so I had to oval out the tps and iac hole for it to lign up. I have lots of pictures of what I did. Also the iac did not fit in the hole. I had to enlarge the hole for the iac to fit flush against the tb. These are side by side comparisons to a ptm 92mm tb. The one with the black shaft is the ebay brand.

This pic vvvv shows how much thinner the mounting pad is on the ebay one vs the ptm.

This pic shows the ebay tb being closer to 92mm than the ptm

This pic vvv shows the difference in size of the hole where the iac goes. Thats the reason it does not fit.

vvvThis pic shows the iac hitting the tb and does not go in.

Very true^^^. The guy I bought it from posted it as a fast 92mm. When i got it, it had no markings and after some research I came to find it on ebay!
I was going for a fast brand to avoid issues like these with the cheap ones.

I hope the ebay ppl see this thread and correct those issues. Disappointing as I was strongly considering the 92mm ebay TB.

I ordered the E-Bay 102mm today, For the price $234.00 shipped, I don't care a bit to fix the little problems to save close to $300.00. Ill put that toward the the Fast 102mm intake when i order it next week for my LS3 431cid , im building right now.

Unless you have access to a 3 axis or machine shop, I don't see someone being able to "fix" this. I was gonna do this TB until the sensor placement sizing was showed to be flawed. I'll look for either the NW now, or the FAST. And Thunder Racing has them for $377.

Those do look like a lot of issues..If they want to sell more they should contact the Taiwan place that is making them and perfect them.

sounds like those buying the 102 have had better luck than those with the 92. will the 102 fit a stock ls3 intake without modification? i understand the intake will be the bottleneck, but i need to find a cable TB and these seemed to be pretty reasonable

There is a few problems with the E-Bay 102mm that i got, The TPS was 90* out when i bolted the TPS on it was at WOT with the blade closed, So what i did was take a meter and check the TPS on my car with the blade closed and took a new TPS and put it on the E-bay-102mm TB , and took the TPS and hooked it to harness on my car and took a meter and turned the TPS on the 102mm till it read the same as my 90mm that's on my car now. Then i marked it and dilled two new holes and taped them and bolted the TPS on the 102mm TB. then i hooked it up back to the car with the key on and checked the voltage on the 102mm and it was the same as the 90mm. .41V closed & 4.69V open 100% . And the other problem was that the blade would not open all the way ,like 70% but all i done was grind the throttle stop till it was at 100% open .So now its fixed ready to mount on my Fast LSX 102mm intake that's on it way to me now. I know that the workmen ship is not very good but for a hours worth of work it saved me about $200.00. Ive been working with the people on E-Bay about the problem that weir having with the throttle bodies and explained to them that if they could fix these problems they could sale a lot more of these.so i sent him this post on LS1Tech so he could read and understand the problems that weir having so he get it fixed.

PTM is a very nice piece and half shafted already...definitely worth the money...trust me don't waste your time with the eBay one...pony up the extra 170...If the PTM is a 10/10 the eBay comes in at a 4-5...

I was interested at first, but after seeing what needs to be done to make them work, I realized I am better off buying a used name brand one for $50-$100 more. Sounds like the old saying is true..You get what you pay for.
