The 3rd one from the left does not appear to have "too" much black if that is a consideration. The styling is a personal thing and only you can make that decision.
I found some new wheels that I am hot on. I have always loved the old school Cragars on 60s cars, but they are crap wheels. American Racing Wheels makes some wheels called Trakstar S that have the same feel, but are a true racing wheel.
I have Summit working on getting the blueprints for the wheels to see if they will fit with my Wilwood brakes.
I bought these us mags u111 for my skylark. 17x7 and 17x8. I know you are looking at15's to put on drag radials though. But the style is appropriate without being too dark.
I have to go with #1, they were made for it, more the black centers.
Short story, I painted a 72 chevelle, when I pushed it out in the sunlight I hated the color-sold it latter, the guy changed the rims, went with black centers, really changed the whole look, I actually could have lived with the color, lol
#3 for sure. Thumbsup
#2 is decent- I think the bright brakes in that image aren't helping though-
Not even in the running is #1.
Post #626 is really cool too-
Those gold centered wheels from post #624 look cool as **** but I'm not sure how they wood work on the op's car.... I'm really liking the old trans am race series look though...
There's a nova posting in forced induction with some magnesium looking wheels that are killer- but the 'black' rims are played out. Along with matte black on cars that shouldn't be!
Gunmetal- bronze - magnesium- that smoked chrome ?
This has been an awesome read. Congrats on your car and thanks for the detail. I recently joined the site so I can learn about the LS series of motors. I have ambitions of building a stroked LQ9 some day for a mud truck. Just knowing that LS motors can work with well a carb is also reassuring incase I don't want to play with an ECM. I look forward to see your future progress.
Here is something to consider with a gold center section. I think they would look good on your car but these are 17". They are currently having a sale. By the way the black version came on the Buick Grand National and you could get the Buick center caps. You would also have to check the back spacing.
