I have some good weather timeslips finally. I have shared them elsewhere and realized I did not share them here. 11.27 @ 120 on the motor and 10.43 @ 131 on the nitrous hitting it at the 60' mark.

I agree. Excellent news for you and me. Hopefully I can duplicate your low 11 second run on the motor. Thank you for posting the good news.

Reading back through your build for the upteenth time I have another question. When you build your own motor stands I take it you used the existing holes in the cross member?

I have purchased the tall and narrow mounts along with the Dirty Dingo sliders but I was wondering if there is any chance to use the existing Buick motor mount stands? The Dirty Dingo sliders are suppose to be a 1/4" higher and with a +- of one inch.

It has been a long time, so my memory is fading. But I remember the factory Buick engine stands being closer to working than the Chevy stands, but they hung off of the back of the crossmember slightly. As for location with the fabricated stands, I had to slot the factory holes upward to get everything where it worked in my car.

Thanks, I was just wondering if there was a chance to use the factory Buick stand. Sounds like there might be a chance with some mods. I should know in about 4 weeks.

Man that is awesome! Pulling a 1.4sec 60' foot is just plain hooking on an all steel semi-stock suspension. Great combination you have. It all comes down to the setup and the know how. So how much juice are you up to at this point? Any plans to go higher?

I am running a 63n/53f tune (150 hp) on pump gas right now. After I finish all the work on my house this spring, I will finish my gas tank upgrade and bump it up to a 200 shot and go for a 9 second pass. LS FTW!

What jetting are you going to use for the 200 shot. I found out that the jeting is different on the cheater kis. I had the old one when the fuel jet was bigger than the nitrous jet.

Probably start out with a 78n/68f tune or maybe a 80n/70f if I need a little extra to get there. Also probably go to the BR8 plug and drop to 19 degrees total timing.

What plugs do you run with the current jetting?

Oh my! That is really good. Tell me about your rear suspension setup. I want to see how close mine will be to yours.

The rear suspension is stock with urethane bushings, boxed lower control arms, adjustable upper control arms and a 1" rear sway bar. On nitrous passes, the car really needs an anti-roll bar on the rear as it twists really hard pulling the left front tire about a foot or so of the ground.

Ok, that is exactly what I am doing. I was thinking of putting an air bag in the right rear spring to help on the twisting. Thanks Steve.

I thought I should share this with you guys who followed the build. This weekend I won the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals True Street Car 12.00 race season opener at Bradenton Motorsports Park.
