I have gone to great lengths to maintain the original look and feel of the car. So, when I needed more switches and a place for my progressive nitrous controller, I felt they had to be hidden. Here is a video of how I installed the switches and the controller:

what kind of hit are you running to pull a second quicker in the quarter?

Here are all of the details:
55n jet
47f jet
5.5 pound fuel pressure flowing with a 64 by pass jet in the flow tool.
21 degrees timing locked

On pump gas I run 27 total. Sunday I ran mostly VP-100. On the VP-100 it picked up about .5 MPH by moving up to 29 degrees timing.

I set the progressive to give roughly 40 HP on the hit and all in by the 60'.

It is a cheater plate with a big shot nitrous solenoid and cheater fuel solenoid.

NOS rates a 55 jet at 125 HP, but the drag race calculator says I netted 140 HP.

I agree, these jets are conservatively rated with a properly operating system. I just picked up a 55/35, so we'll see.

If you want to see some real conservative ratings. Have a look at the Edelbrock nitrous jetting ratings. They say it takes a 57 jet to get 100 HP.

Nice run. I bet you surprised the 440 Plymouth. I see you did a 11.48 @ 117.8 NA. I just hope my 1965 Skylark is as fast when its done.

I have bettered that with an 11.43 @ 118 now. I hope to get into the 30s in some cool winter air in the next few months.

I look forward to seeing your car hit the track. You are going to have fun.

Thanx Mike. I am having fun with it.

Here is a pic that a friend just sent to me that he took at the track. It looks like I got the left front off the ground on the 10.54 pass.

Yep, a little air is showing under the left front tire. It also looks like you could use an air bag in the right rear corner. On my Trans Am I have one within the spring.

It may only be 125hp, but it is probably 175lbs/ft of torque. I think that's what makes it seem like more than a 125 shot. I had good luck with my 55 pill too. Nice job.

That and the tight stall converter probably exaggerated my results.

Super Wildcat...???...Huh !!
That must be even better than the 445 or the 465 nailhead........
Car performs really well for such a smallish cam and mild squirt !!!!
What did the cam change alone end up being worth ??? like 3 tenths/3 mph

Nailhead = museum piece or boat anchor

Are you talking about the cam swap from the old 222/224? If so, about 1 to 1.5 MPH in the quarter.

LSXTV did a web feature article on my car. I thought I would share it with those following the thread. Just click on the article image to go to the LSX TV webpage:

Man that is awesome to have your car featured as such! Jealousy is consuming me. You deserve the recognition with such a nice ride and all of the hard work you poured into her to get it that way. Congratulations!
