The same filler cap that fits on the extension tube screws into the valve cover. Same threads.

TH200R4 has the same cable drive as the old ST300 transmission. Just plug it in.

All fuel lines are in and the fuel system is complete. If I can find the motivation, I will wire it and fire it up tomorrow.

It is alive!

Here is a video of her first day running with the new engine. As with all phone videos, the camera cannot handle these volume levels.

Thanx guys. When it was time to fire it up, it went really smooth. To prime the oil pump, it only took about 5 seconds or cranking and the pressure went to 25 pounds. When I turned on the fuel pump, the fuel pressure went straight to 6 pounds and the engine fired immediately with a touch of the key. Not a single drop of anything leaked when I fired it up. I was very happy. The only thing that gave me grief was getting the coolant into the engine. The radiator took 2 gallons and that is where it stayed. I think the next time I change the coolant, I will drill a 3/16" to 1/4" hole in the thermostat to help fix this.

It was great to see the engine run. After all of this work, hearing the LS thunder brought new motivation.

Did you loosen the steam port things on the heads to burp the system?

The front steam ports are plumbed into my upper radiator hose.

I had the same problem getting coolant into mine! Glad to hear that I'm not the only one. Now that I drained it to fix a TIG weld problem on the radiator I will have to deal with it again. My steam line is plumbed into the top of water pump outlet.

I am thinking the best way to do a first time coolant fill on a vehicle with a traditional radiator might be to take off the upper rad hose at the radiator and pour the coolant directly in the end of the hose so that it fills up the block first, then reconnect it and fill up the radiator.

I was having the same issues as you are having, and I did exactly what you are thinking of doing and it worked perfect after I reconnected the top hose I just removed the radiator cap and kept an eye on it and kept adding a little at a time. Then I ran it and got it hot and let it cool and then removed the radiator cap again and only had to add about a pint and it's been good ever since, it has never gone over 195 degrees.

I agree with this combo this seems to work the best.
