Time for a little update, made the fuel system harness from front to back, no splices, all 12ga, some 10ga, for grounds. Think it turned out pretty good, except for the trigger wire from pcm and ground signal wire from hobbs switch for second pump, all wiring is at the back of the car, easy to work on, still have to trim studs on lid.

Also, finally got the drive shaft in, didn't realize I hadn't posted, so here ya go

It's a stock length shaft from a 03 regular wheelbase 3/4 ton chevy van, fit with no cutting!

Ended up using an adapter joint and a factory flange from somthing else, (who knows what)drive shaft guy just reached in a pile of spare parts and bingo!

Flange on the left is the factory cardan one with center cut out, was possibly going to have to use

Yea I really didn't know how the drive shaft was going to pan out, the floor of the car is so low, I thought I would have to use a combination of the stock caddy shaft and the two peice steel one that came out of the long wheel base van my motor came out of.
When I was installing, I put the drive shaft up into the trans tunnel, and at the point it was touching, the rear axle halfway up in the back seat lol .
I do have plans of slamming the car, so should be plenty of room

wouldn't trust a stock Al driveshaft. They are thin like soda cans and known to twist and snap in half.

Thanks for heads up, I'm only going to be running the stock open diff for now, hopefully won't find the limits of this one for a little while....

Figured I'd give an update, not to much excitement, just more wireing..... only problem with converting a harness about 2 years ago......can't remember what I did.....
I'd had never quite understood my prndl /nss and after looking at my plug and the wire locations, I finally figured out my problem(after spending alot of time being confused and asking for help here on the forum).......apparently on this later model prndl switch (single plug) , the diagrams I had looked at had shown a "purple" wire coming out of the pin 12 location on the harness, and mine was pink....... the instructions that came with my fuse block said that most all pink wires would go switched 12v, so that's what I did. .... and to make a long story short
,sometimes the wire location will supercede the wire color, and determine where it actually goes......
So, I'm looking over and double checking everthing I'd done and
Re-familerizing myself with the harness and actually enjoying it .
To anybody thinking about reworking there harness, go for it! It's just wires

Update time, have most of the wiring done, and by some miracle it works! Motor turns over by the key, both fuel pumps turn on , both are triggered upon start up, the second ones relay is grounded through a hobbs switch and works, I can hear the iac moving and the coil packs are firing off!

Spaghetti!

These are the gauges, for everything else I'll use a bluetooth adapter on the dlc to display on a tablet

Wideband, fuel press, boost, fuel level and oil press

Change to red when you turn the lights on =)

The car has a glass fuse box , and everthing on the car still works and in an effort in keeping that tradition, I've added no new circuits to it , instead, I've added 2 new fuse boxes, one underhood that's constant 12v, and one inside thats switched 12v via a relay for anything new

Hard to see, but it has the red wire going to it

I did use what used to run the ac stuff to be the trigger wire for the relay

Tonight fixed a leak where I drilled and tapped the water pump for the steam tubes to tie in opps.....
Then got a pcm bracket from a firebird and made some simple brakets out of aluminum to mount it on drivers side wheel well

Pcm braket from firebird

Reused old holes that were already in wheel tub

Same thing on front braket, used existing hole

Pcm new home

Also had to make some changes to the tab that holds the brake switch.
I I added a hydrobooster, what a pain....anyways it pushed the brake pedal out futher so had to make some adjustments. ..

So uh..yeeeaa... alittle too close.....

Made a little tab outta aluminum drilled and notched it for the little fitting that the switch fits into.

Switch new home
