2 questions if any of you experienced guys can help.
1. Is there anything in HP tuners that helps with throttle response ?(eliminating delay of foot pedal) (2015 Camaro SS) There are several products out there that help - "Vitesse" "Pedal Commander" etc. But is there any adjustment in this software that would solve that problem to prevent buying another product.
2. I hear the term "Tip-in" a lot. Who can give a shirt sleeve explanation of what this is? What is it and where does it show up in the performance of the engine and how can it be adjusted?
Here is the pedal-to-throttle table for a 2015 Camaro as viewed with HP Tuners. You do have the ability to adjust this table for more linear throttle response - but only up to a point where the ECM throws it into limp mode. There is also the following warning:
" Desired Throttle Area - A: Normal Mode Desired throttle area based on pedal position and RPM or VSS (pedal to throttle map). WARNING!!! Modify this table at OWN RISK. Incompatibility of this calibration with the vehicle TAC module calibration may render PCM permanently inoperable."
