I pretty much refuse to work in the cold if it's not an emergency. Floor heat gentlemen, it'll satisfy your every need.
The catfish has been sitting under the car cover. New fuel system, converter, and hptuners isn't really in the budget as a student again, so she sits.
But with time off to prep for finals, I finally went hard on my little 90 firefly, swapped all harness' and turbo motor into the good body car, just have to peel all of the good stuff off the rusty old turbo model and send it to the junker. Motivation is there, money isn't for the ls car unfortunately.

I have been told that Viagra can help with that lack of desire.

you can take off the rear housing and put a flexplate in its place. use one or two bolt holes and set that on the bucket. that's how i did my 4l80e

I welded on some tubing with bolts to hold the case ears on a tranny when I did my 80e, but it's not working for the glide, so I may try to do something like this now

Results are in. Direct, forward and intermediate clutches were so so. Some were brital and fell apart and some looked decent. Wouldn't be surprised if this unit was slipping. This transmission has a roller clutch on the reaction carrier, and none on the direct drum. Will be spending some quality time with the case cleaning it next week before the build.

I always clean all that crap off the case before disassembly to keep it from getting inside the passage ways. Dirt is the enemy during a rebuild.

I agree. I didn't think about it until I tore it down. But I promise you, it will be immaculate when I reassemble it.

I haven't touched my car since October when I started tearing it down. I have had zero motivation to do anything since then. Now it's down in the single digits here in Iowa and I once again put off getting a heater installed in my garage. It's even already plumbed for one.

I currently use one of these...

My garage is 1150 square feet, attached and insulated well. It heats up pretty quick and stays decently warm but I really need to get a more permanent solution.

I do plan on pulling the trans this weekend though with the help of a buddy. Need to get a leak fixed and send my converter back for some tweaking. We will see if any progress is made though.

Wish i knew about that one before I got the one from the freight. Mine is only 60,000 btu....yours is 200,000 but and only cost a little more.
