Default whats a good turbo for my 5.3

i have a 95 Z28 im going to throw in a 5.3 out of a 2001 Tahoe. im also getting a 4L80e Transmission to back it up. For the 5.3 im keeping the stock heads, stock intake and im going to throw in a ls6 cam, ls6 springs, and manely 7.425 pushrods. My goal with a turbo is 700RWHP on pump gas and ive been looking at a lot of turbos but can decide on which one. I know Ebay China turbos have come a long way but my stupid pride would like something made in USA lol Anyone know a good turbo for this set up and goal?

IF you want American made get a Turbonetics T7875 or a Precision 7675, they will both make 700hp easily, probably 800 without too much trouble. Another brand you might want to check out is Comp turbos they are a newer American turbo company, that looks to have nice stuff too. They also make a similar sized turbo, like a 7876 or such?

I'm really looking into the turbonetics t7875 .96 a/r. Do you think 80lb injectors will be fine? And what turbo kit would work with the t7875.

I love Huron speed. My experience with them has been great. They can hook you up with a kit and the turbo.

You can make 700 on gen 3 rods if you do it in the upper RPM range.

And I would avoid both Comp and Precision turbos. Both nice turbos, both make good power for their size. Both have high failure rates and **** poor customer service.

I hope you are right Joe. I've got an iron 365 (4.005 bore) short block, with forged rods and pistons in the works, but still a factory crank, for when I do bend the rods, but I'd like to see how long I can make them last.

I do make my power very high in the RPM range, and only 600 ft lbs on the torque. I'm actually still making more power at 6600, and chose to stop it there. At lower boost levels it actually makes max hp about 6900. This was a high revving little 346, before the turbo went on I used to shift it at 7200 NA. Hold on rod bolts!!

But back to the OP, I do love my T7875. Hard to go wrong with it IMO. Also hard to go wrong with Huron speed too.
