Need help with VIN swap on stock tune
So I bought the car and it has an HP tuner 1bar Map OS on it.. I emailed the tuner to get the stock tune but they didn't respond so guess no help there... Was willing to pay for it, but guess they are too busy.
I have HP Tuners Pro and want to switch to a SD 3 bar OS since I am going turbo. I need the stock tune file to start with but will cost me 6 license to change the VIN on the one I downloaded from HP Tuners site.
So if someone out there has a tuners license and could swap the VIN on the stock file I have I think i can then license it to my car for just 2 credits, I think...
My other option is to tow it somewhere to get a Tech 2 reflash and that is my last option I hope...
Anybody help me out? Or is my plan no good?

This is tune that came in car.. Car does not like to idle in gear when cold, probably no surprise given the size of the cam and transmission could use some part throttle shifting tweaks but I didn't bother with it since it is coming out..

And here is the what I believe to be stock 2002 WS6 tune that I need my vin 2G2FV22G222119515 on... If I understand correctly I can then write entire and put the stock tune back on. Then upgrade to a SD 3bar os...
thanks again for the help...

Here you go. But I'm not sure if it will work for you. As with the 3.xx version of Hp Tuners, the Vin is changed to your's in the Controller tab, but not in the Tune Overview tab. And the 3.xx help guide says you need to be connected to your vehicle to make the Vin change permanent.
Also some of the Controller ID numbers are different.
I would just use a Tech II to flash your car back to stock, then no credits needed.

And I told them it was 1bar MAP OS and he asked for a copy of the tune so I assumed he checked...
I was trying to avoid loading it on a trailer to drag it in and get it reflashed and now more so that you tell me that isn't possible.

Man they sure make this complicated.. So comparing the tunes the VIN appears to be ok.. As well as when it asks to license the file.. I assume the Serial Number is the original ECM serial Number?
Now I am gunshy.. If I license this file an can't write to ECM there go another 2 license.. Then if I can't reflash the ecm back to stock I am buying another ECM and there go another 2 license...
maybe I should just give up.. buy a flashed ECM and start from scratch..
On the upside. The tuning has to be easier than this...
