Not unusual. Don't know the cost, or if the bracing systems available in the aftermarket would help. You might try the performance forum at the Corvette Forum. There will be some folks there who have been there and might have some good suggestions.

Don't know what rib you have. The 3 rib design from C5 Zo6 is supposed to be stronger than single rib.

corvette forums has a lot of info on these.

Also call RPM transmissions.

Yeah my trans was done by Jeremy and we've been in contact, will be sending him the broken junk in the next week here. Really considering going 3.90 polished gears for a bit more "giddy-up".

Well just got off the phone with Jeremy a few hours ago and we decided to add the stronger ZO6 pinion support bearing to the stage two assembly. 300M outputs not needed for my power level, so the ZO6 stuff it is. Went 3.90 polished gears and got the external brace assembly too.
Apparently drag radials are just pure evil on Corvette rear end assemblies.
Might have to switch to bias plys or something with a softer sidewall.
Since my main case was also destroyed there is really nothing to even send him so outright w/core charge it is........OUCH......

Jeremy set me up with another C5 piece....Apparently the C6 stuff requires additional conversion pieces to make it work....IDK
I'm getting like a hybrid stage 2/3 which will have upgraded ZO6 pinion support
as well as an external brace.....and polished 3.90s to help cure some of that
"sluggish" feeling.....

I looked into upgrading to the '07+ C6 diff (I think that's the correct year the diff housing changed) with 3.90s when I had my C5. IIRC, there's additional pieces needed to plant the updated C6 diff into a C5 but it's fairly straight forward. If the C5 external brace is at least just as strong and offsets the cost and extra labor involved with the conversion, that's the way to go I would think.

You need a C6 rear cradle and control arms, then you'll need rktperformance offset trans mounts

Quick update.......have yet to track the car but the "butt-cheek dyno" reports that it is faster.....imagine that....?????
freeway rpms sit right at 2000 for eighty miles per hour and fuel economy hovers right around 24....dropping it to seventy brings 26 and sixty mph gets me the original GM rating of 28 mpgs....I'll take that all day
Runs real well no ticks, leaks, nothing....just get in it and drive wherever kinda deal......VERY happy with the trans/rear-end from RPM/Jeremy !!!!
