Put a single plane manifold, a head that flows big #'s at high lift, a cam that you can spin, redesign your drive train with the minimization of parasitic loss in mind. All that "under the curve power" ls1tech loves so much is Bullshit does not work on the track.

What OP is doing is nothing different then others have done, there are a couple other guys who have gone 130+ mph with cam only 6 liter stuff.

DAMIEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car only dynoed 480 rwhp, 3600 lbs , 6 speed car. and I run very close to what Big Hammer is running. But I trap 5 mph less in the 1/4. almost the same in the 1/8th I think... I need to find a slip.

EDIT:

103 MPH 1/8th 129.8 1/4.

You got VERY similar numbers to me. i'm at 519 and 35xx pounds, though. You did better with less. I had 102 in the 1/8, but 10.7xx at 129.xx.

The added bonus of the cage is it helps extend the life of the chassis a lot. Non caged big torque cars tend to fatigue all the seams in the unibody. Road race track days the average sedan is good < 2 years if you run it a dozen or so days per season, its not that it will fail, it just gets soft..
