I agree. After comparing the two chains side by side I cannot see a difference at all. There aren't even any color differences to suggest peening, heat treat, passivation etc. My motor was all buttoned up with the Hinson chain prior to the genesis of this thread. I bought the Katech chain but after close examination I left the hinson one in place. A would love to see a test of some sort.

These haven't been made in years, do you have stock? Last I knew, SDPC bought all of the remaining sets from Cloyes.
I see a total of six 3/8" pitch simplex timing chains that JWIS manufactures.
Iwis has at least 2 main aftermarket ls chains. The P chain and the N chain.
The N chain comes with the JP perf/N Motion/Comp/Slp sets. The N chain comes with the Rollmaster sets.
They do have more...but those are the 2 main ones. They are avail in double row and single row.
