Junk yard find, need help identifying.
Hey all, i was at the junk yard today saw a Z28 with few things thought was worth pulling off. i was wondering anyone could help ID them. Bought everything for $100.
Is the hood worth keeping?
Little ding on the TB but cant tell what size BBK throttle body it is 52mm or 58mm?
What MAF is it? i dont see any markings on it. Does anyone know how big the MAF is?

Corvette Big Block Stinger hood for 93-97 F-body
Accel ignition box
K&N intake
Vortech intake elbow
MAF might be an old Granateli they used to put a decal on them where plug is at might of came off.
I would measure the butterflies on the BBK it's hard to tell by looking at a pic online but to me it looks like a 58mm.
That strut tower bar I've never seen before looks like something a ricer would use.
That's all killer deals for 100 bucks.
You could probably make 3-400 hundred off the parts and 250 - 300 on the hood.

So went back to the junk yard today, pulled the valve covers off and saw 1.6 rockers roller with guide plate, i cant tell what type of rockers. Some sort of Comp rockers, anyone know if they are SA or NSA? i know they had guide plate with the rockers but just want to make sure.
The lady charged me $8 for the rockers lol

Based on the aftermarket MAF and using guide plates with SA rockers it most likely wasn't the best build ever...but for the pennies you got everything for its a steal.
I would pull the whole motor to go through it, or at least the heads and intake. Good chance of their being at least being ported stockers on there, and if you get lucky they would be stamped from a reputable porter. If he had a 58mm Tb on there, by minimum the intake holes have been bored out and it may be ported as well.

Any pics of the whole car you are getting parts from? Puck has a point, it could be a catalog build, just swiping a credit card at anything that advertises an increase in HP and nothing below the intake was touched, or it could have more fun surprises.
I'd pull the intake, no need to be neat in your removal, sawzall the cowl out of the way, cut fuel lines, vacuum hoses, everything, and see if you can get to the heads to see the runners for hints of work done to them, or to the front of the heads for a stamp of the porting company or aftermarket stamp. Long tubes, catback, shifter, etc all fetch money. If you can snag the whole car and part it out you might make a pretty penny to buy proper parts too.

Thanks all,
My work started, wont be free untill Thursday.

When i was pulling rockers off noticed water oil mixed im pretty sure engine been over heated. I will try pull intake off on Thursday.
I notice bbk TB gasket left a print on intake which looks like its not opend up to fit TB. I agree who ever did this build did poor job. They seem to have just thrown parts at it. If stock heads ported ill pull heads off and maybe take cam out too.

All the parts coming off is from a 94 Z28. Is 94 PCM worth taking?
Was thinking of taking out the engine but, second thoughts seeing oil in water mix.

Yeah, ill get pic's next time im there.
You are right i think they just slapped parts together. It does have long tube headers i didnt bother pulling off looks pretty used up, also has Borla catback system but some idiot pulled the muffler off left everything else. I did look for marking on the head but couldnt find anything with thick greezy layer. I will be heading that way Thursday and ripp that intake off.

Ditch the maf, those granatelli mafs were crap, made more problems and less power, when we had the shop we tested a few performance parts, Air foil, larger throttle bodies, headers ect, and the granatelli never made more power, just cause more unnecessary tuning to get it correct, My motor makes 710 RWHP with a stock unported maf.

Yeah.... ditch it and when you do throw it in to my hands and I"ll "dispose" of it properly on ebay http://www.jegs.com/i/Granatelli/467/350111/10002/-1

If they had a 58mm TB without even gasket matching the 52mm ports on the stock intake, it is doubtful that anything was done internally. Still some killer deals though!
