Ok,ok,ok- I'll get her skirts back on...... its gonna take a new way to attach them, because the original way with the lever ain't gonna work, face of the rims are to pushed out.
But I'll at least get some mockup shots for you guys.

Let me know what you come up with to attach them. I may be in a similar "boat".

Baaahaaaaa! Will do!

Did some mock up today......and most likely have some bad news.....the 15" rotors are not off the table yet, but I fear the brembos May be....... they won't clear the backsides of the wheels!
I could maybe clearance back of rim/put a spacer on it, but gonna have to see how much room is left once this bit#h aired out over the fronts.
Open to suggestions........

Here are some mock up pics

I have never run the bolt-on spacers on the front. Have them on the rear of the Ranchero for street wheels. But if they are high quality, I see no harm. I would not use over 1/4" slip-on shim/spacer. I have seen them fail in dramatic fashion. Good luck!

I've had cheap 1/2" aluminum wheel spacers and longer studs on my daily for 6+ years and bought it with them on it. I considered upgrading them to billet hub centrics at some point but never got around to it. They've probably been in use for ~100k. I've put 85k of that on them myself. As long as they're centered and torqued evenly I see no problem using them on a novelty car, especially if they're only a few MMs to clear the calipers.

I actually have no quams about the spacers themselves, I actually have a set of adapters on the jeep currently and, have had them on the rear of lited late model gm trucks.
I think would opt for longer studs with the spacers.

The main issue at hand is weather or not I will still be able to tuck tire when the bags get on the front lol

I'm debating on coming down to the Turkey Run, never been.
Is that a 53 chevy in the back-I picked up a 54 for a buddy in Ohio, It now has a Morrison frame and new LT1 engine, it should be at PRI.
Your making progress, looking good.

Mine are just stock town car struts, I'm a little way off from tackling the front end , I don't know if I'm gonna do a bag over strut, or a 2500lb bag and external shock......

Read the whole thread and enjoyed it! This is a pretty unique build and I'm interested to see the "finished" product.

Great job buddy

Great job buddy
Thanks very much, I finally have the wheel arches in, I'm working on a template to finish them up, then start work on the rear floor.

Someone will look at that pic and say, "did what?". I look at that and say, "He spent a whole Saturday cutting, trimming, fitting and welding. And probably has some cuts to prove it." Great work!

Thanks for appreciating

I latley feel like I'm posting the same pics, the metal stuff like this is kinda thankless, but very time consuming like you said. So, At the point where something (like these wheel wells) start to come together, I kinda wonder how I make it take so long........no lol.......
I really can't wait to get the floor closed up.

This is the part of the project when so many quit or back burner it. But the reward when you pull through is immense. You can proudly say "I built this.".

Holy Shitballs. I've been doing the search "Cadillac LS swap" with varied but minimal results for weeks and weeks, today I do "Cadillac Build Thread" and this comes up from 2015. I breezed through quickly, but intend to go on back through the beginning (many many times). I just moved in October, and like 2 weeks after that I traded a Craftsman lawn tractor for a '70 Sedan Deville roller that I'd been eyeing and talking with the owner since the beginning of the summer. The body is pretty solid but interior is trashed. I'm doing that now, and still on the search for a donor vehicle. I can't even believe this thread.... amazing fab work and detail, I am in awe of what you have completed! I am not going all out with turbos (well not yet anyhow) and 4-links and back-halving (awesome), my main goal is to swap in a cammed LQ4 and 4L80E and cruise it. Now I am definitely going the crown vic front end route after seeing this.... as well as many other plans (I thank you!). Keep it up, very excited to see more progress and re-read this as many times as I need to.
