My Build: 35th Limited Edition SS
I have decided to share my build with you all. So a few months ago I purchased my dream car from an older gentleman. A 2002 LE SS with 10,000 original miles! Car looks brand new and has that “new car smell.” I’ve had a fbody before this one but went with a NA build that just wasn’t for me. I’ve decided to go FI with the Camaro and continue until I have a forged engine, built drivetrain and suspension to support a 10 second car. So starting tomorrow I will be documenting everything I do to the car. It is completely stock and unmolested at this point. I have a **** ton of parts for the car right now. And if anyone has any ideas for future parts I’m all about hearing your ideas.
Parts on hand:
Walbro 255 fuel pump with 60 lb injectors
D1SC 8 Rib kit
More “stuff” on it’s way

I wanna see........ I have a 35th myself I purchased 3ish years ago and have been restoring and building, I wish I could've started with a low mile car like that though ahah. Look forward to seeing the progress with your car.

Hit a few snags over the weekend. Having a few problems with the ATI balancer not wanting to squeeze on. Note to self...Should have put it in the oven. Bigger pain in the butt than my powerbond UD pulley I had installed on my Z28. So far got the horn, smog pump and cruise control module, relocated. Got the stocker cooling fans pulled. Cut a notch in the back for the new fuel pump “trap door”. Also have my exhaust coming in Friday. I’ll post more pics once things look cleaned up.
D1SC Parts!
Just a circle for now. Going to take my time with the cutting to get it real clean looking.

Very cool! Love the 35th Anniversary Addition SS. Possibly my favorite Fbody ever. I was looking for one before buying my black 02 SS but couldn't find a low mileage M6 car for anywhere close to the price I got my car for.
Just a quick question but will a single 255 be enough to support a Procharged LS1? I see you've owned a Terminator. So have I and I own an 03 Lightning and to support the kind of power a Procharged LS1 running 8 psi should put down in those vehicles you're going to want more pump than a single 255 can provide. Different platforms I know but kind of surprising that that's enough pump for a boosted motor this large making 550+ WHP.

I’m estimating anywhere from 470-500 rwhp with my basic boltons. I’m not running a cam either so hopefully the 255 can keep up. I haven’t heard anything that it won’t support those numbers but I could be wrong.

Got some more done tonight. I work nights so don’t have much time to do stuff after work. Hopefully the rest will be done before next week. One thing I did do differently than what the instructions said: I put the balancer hub on first and here’s why. I did not have a harmonic balancer bolt long enough to squeeze the hub over the crank snout. So I put the hub in the oven and set to 350 degrees F. Make sure to put your AC pulley on then the hub! Took a few good whacks with a rubber mallet and it slid on enough to get my bolt started. Then I installed everything else using Red lock tight.
Initial crank pinning. Tried my best to line up the key hole. Not perfect but will do it’s job.
Pinned crank complete!
Damper Installed
Finished product with Blower pulley installed.

Finished up the exhaust over the weekend. Went with Speed Engineering 1 7/8 headers this time. Really happy with how it went together. Only thing is the exhaust clamps are garbage so have to order some better quality clamps.
Most of the procharger install is complete. Got hp tuners pro on the way! Ordered a boost gauge, fuel pressure and aem wideband. In the process of wiring. Will post more pictures this weekend.

Got the fuel pump in today. Had to order some sae 30r10 submersible fuel line since Walbro’s kit was 3 inches too short. Pissed me off .
Got my gauges installed but have issues not reading boost (only drawing vacuum). So have to figure out what vacuum source to tie into... And have had a freaking blast learning how to tune the car myself! Running a speed density setup for now while I’m tuning VE. Still in the process of dialing in the tune.

Picked up a brand new SLP Grill from a member on ls1tech. Got it for a steal! Looks so much better than the stock piece.
Figured I would change the rear exhaust so I ordered CME valance from 6LE this week. And I have the original SLP CME tips to go with it. I’ll update when that’s done.
