Default Dodge Demon vs Hellcat

At my local track. Awesome car but wonder if they'll really run mids 9s?

Skip to 2:40ish for the race.

Mid 9s in one of those Demons is going to be a hero run that will be duplicated a handful of times maybe.

MIGHT crack a 9.99 with a 6.7 1/8 because I figure the car will really get moving after the first 1/8th. Shame that $1 crate doesn’t include a prepped track.

Gonna take better than a 6.7 1/8 for it to run 9s probably.

Good to see the hellcat dude rowing his own gears.

The conversion suggests 10.6 at 128 in the 1/4 mile. I would expect better

Now that I think about it. I bet this demon is on the base 93 tune.

Yeah you might be right, but even on the 93 tune they made 727 rwhp. Lots of possible unknowns here but I hope we will see the average times doing better than this

6.70 would be more like a 10.3-10.5 depending on how well it back halfed. Mid 10s would be about right for an average run in average conditions, especially if it's only on the 93 tune.

This is what I'd expect to see at my track with a deamon.

Yup Irwindale.

We're in California and only have 91 octane(or e85).

Also, someone mentioned that the Demon had not figured out how to launch on the transbrake.

Is it wrong that I instantly hate all demon owners? Seems like an over-hyped flop and people that buy them seem like douch bags who get sucked in by over-hyped BS.

I could also be jealous and an *******, I dunno...

I agree... once they get into the hands of real enthusiasts that know WTF they are doing, they are gonna run.... considering a HC on tires will go 10.70s, and the Demon is +100hp minimum, it’s easy in the 9.90s even with an amateur that’s not a total idiot.

OT but your C7 is absolutely beautiful...having a hard time deciding if I like it as much as the '71 though!
