I have the Treadstone air to air also. I like it, works well for my car. I also run the Holley system and have the 3.5” touchscreen.
It handles all of my gauges plus you can load tunes with it, change rev limiters, boost levels, etc. very cool piece for about $250. And yes, it’s plenty big to see while driving.

My son-inlaws Nova has a different problem that may use a fix that might work in your case. His issue is we need more room between the motor and the radiator for pulleys for a 6-71 blower and still keep his puller electric fans. Our remedy is going to be cutting out the radiator support so we can put the radiator under the top brace of the core support instead of in front of it.
Do you know if you would have room to mount the intercooler under the radiator support and still leave room to mount the radiator closer to the engine? I know with your turbo setup it might already be tight but it looks like you only need a couple inches.
What are you using for a fan?

use is the 1" set back mounts or sliders if u go lsx, then car accessories that gains you alot of room then you need to notch the rad support to set intercooler into it and set radiator at far back to engine as u can.....novas r tight.

I don't have a fan picked out yet. I want to get an aluminum radiator and fan combo if anyone has any that are good, send me the link.
But won't I need a pusher fun if I go the route of intercooler inside engine bay as opposed to in front of the radiator support?
So the fan will be closest to the bumper and not the engine??

put the engine as close to firewall as possible, on a ls engine you dont have a distributor so they can go back a little closer to firewall than a sbc . you will still need to notch radiator support to fit intercooler behind grill. you can see it better in this pic.
