Shark Gray 2000 SS build
Here's the damage, #3 rod bearing spun and started to take out #4. Not too bad, crank is probably salvageable. Sold the shortblock to a guy putting it in his 67 blazer.
I purchased a built 383 from 11secLS1 on here.
I bought a UMI k member along with their lower control arms. I blasted and painted the spindles and oem replacement upper control arms.
I'm currently cleaning the firewall and frame horns, going to paint that gloss black along with the under carriage and fender wells.
Ordered some stainless brake lines and will be repainting my calipers.
I twisted the splines in my Strange cast yoke so I replaced with their chromoly version.
On the interior, I am installing a Sparco steering wheel and replacing the dash pad (current one has a small crack).
Installed my Sparco steering wheel. Used the MOMO hub. Had to shave a little plastic out of the column, yes horn still works.
Been working on my buds 99 z28. Cam/bolt on M6. Had the RS ground effects.
Helped him do some weight reduction.
F-body life.

Thanks man.
Engine has arrived, it’s a 383 LS1 with a bunch of goodies. Picked it up for a great price from a fellow member.
Got the firewall and frame horns painted.
Installed the rest of the accessories. Steering rack bolted right up to the UMI k-member.
Original T56 cleaned up.
The UMI k-member bolts right up to the subframe and looks great. I am going to replace a couple of seals on my steering rack before I torque everything down. Can't stand leaks.
Still need to locate a 14mm drill bit to drill my caliper bolt mounting holes out (spindle) to fit the larger bolts required for the Brembos.
Pulled the pwr str shaft seal out, just waiting on a new one to be delivered.
Headers are now clearing the steering shaft and subframe.
