In the never ending battle of sweet pea vs Holley fuel system products, the twin Holley fuel pumps took a dump today.
Looks like Magna Fuel will get the nod.
Me thinks I’ll never buy another Holley fuel system product again. 🤬
Every time I think there’s plenty of time before the Memphis Super Chevy Show in April, some other BS issue pops up.

Those brand new products seem to have something in common! 
You’ve got 2 $25 255 china pump clones that are hit or miss. Then stuff them in a fancy housing that restricts flow and holds in heat. Hmm… You’d be 10x better off with 2 gsl392 255 pumps (or 044s) plumbed in parallel.
2 AEM 380’s flow more than a magnafuel 4303 for less than half the price. 2 380’s in parallel, both on a boost switch with a single 255 style inline pump for street duty is a super potent and quiet setup. Out flows a 4303 by a mile.
Don’t get me wrong, a 4303 is a great pump. Mine has been awesome over the years, but It’s a loud bastard. I’d suggest a simple 2 pump system if you go that way. Use a quiet oem style pump of some sort and have the big boy kick on in boost only.

Verdict is still out on the AEM380’s IMO. Haven’t been around long enough to build up a reliable name for themselves. I’ve been running 1 for about a year as my only ethanol pump. It makes some odd noises every now and then. Getting much louder for a few minutes, esp. after a pull. So far it hasn’t missed a beat though. (it’s not what I’d call quiet)
If you used 2 380's as a secondary pump they would only run for very brief periods and would likely last forever. Hard to beat a $60 GSL392 for a quiet inline constant duty pump IMO. Just don’t get the fakes and go with genuine walbro.

Got the manga fuel 4303 installed. Hopefully get a baseline tune this week and test her on the Dyno next week. The goal is to get is a couple test and tunes in before the Memphis Super Chevy Show in April where I hope to run true street with the AC blowing cold during the cruise.

Sweet Pea made it to the drag strip!
6psi launch with 12psi peak ran better than expected. When we tried to turn up the boost, the rear shocks bottomed out and she went hard left. Soft launch netted similar results despite trying to ramp in boost with the 3 port solenoid. Looks like Sweet Pea will end up with Viking shocks all the way around.

The 4303 is loud as hell just sitting at idle but not bad driving around. I’ll probably add a Bosch 044 to run constant and keep the 4303 on a Hobbs switch. I’m a little worried about burning up the 4303 just cruising around.
And the AC work REALLY well.

4303 is a loud bastard, but don’t worry about constant duty operation. I’ve run mine for like 7 years! Sent it in for a refresh last year. They said the brushes were a bit worn but not bad. Replaced the brushes and sent it back… Super reasonable price wise too. They did say to make sure and run a -12 inlet on it.
I do hate the noise though. How do you have yours mounted? Rubber isolator mounts quieted it down by about half. But it’s still obnoxious.
You can PWM the pump and slow it way down at cruise, this will make it much quieter. Then ramp the duty up to 100% in boost too. Just make sure to use a big heat sink for the SSR relay, they get hot!

I’ve got the -12 feed and a smaller rubber isolator. I’m willing to try to isolate it more. Glad to hear I should not worry about running it since I’ve already got through 3 tanks of gas driving her around the past 3 days.
