Got her leaving well on 6psi but the 60’ was a lazy 1.48. They were running 1/8 mile only for a grudge event so I was just working on the launch. The Viking shocks seemed cure the suspension blues. I tried launching on 10 psi and the transmission said NOPE.
Sweet Pea will get a hand me down powerglide from another car that needs their trans upgraded, then we will be able to leave on some boost. The break was disappointing but that’s the last weak link in the driveline. She went into the 6s in the eighth even with a 1.68 then 1.48 60’.
She is super stable and tracks straight with the new shocks. She even drives better on the street. I wouldn’t be surprised if the suspension tolerates 12psi launch once the trans done.

New trans is in. Now I’ve upgraded the entire driveline.
Sweet Pea got one test pass in that had to be aborted due to a wreck in the other lane. She did
manage a 1.42 60’ and I’m slowly creeping up on the launch.
Yeah, the Vikings are really working and it drives a ton better on the street too. It seems like the more power I throw at it off the line the more the suspension likes it.
I need some more test passes to figure out the bump box and boost builder functions but I’m glad they weren’t sorted out that night. Still trying to figure out one thing at a time.
the Vikings made a HUGE difference in both the launch and the driveability.
Well, sweet pea won true street at Super Chevy because it was the fastest car that didn’t break. It was actually sleeting before the drive and temp was in the 30s for the runs making the track like an ice rink. After the first pass I never went past 3/4 throttle and averaged a 11.13 for my 3 runs. Now she’s a proven 11.0 street car with AC.
Also, I have the bump box working through the Holley. I just need to fine tune the PWM table to see if I can get her to creep in smoothly rather than bump in violently.
I have a video of the third pass in true street. She spun on the hit, I peddled and she pulled the fronts on the rebound. Like riding a bucking bronco lol. Temp was in the 30s and track was frozen. It was like being on an ice rink.
