LS1 vs. LT1 in 94' Camaro

LS1 vs. LT1 in 94' Camaro I'm looking at dropping either a Lt1 or Ls1 in a 94' V6 Camaro. I understand if I am to drop in a LS1 into that year that there are about $1000+ worth of additional parts needed for the swap. But with the Lt1 I believe there are only a few adds and ends. Is it worth the $3k+ for the Ls1 over the LT1? Both will be mated with a 6 spd. This will be a daily driver so I'm not looking to go all out with this vehicle except for BPU. Thanks

I'm a year and a hlaf into mine :S also a 94 3.4. I just received my AFR 225's (man they are beautiful). I will try to degree the cam this week and match the lower fast 90 to the AFR intake ports. I still have to rebuild the T56, so waiting for some funds to come in to order the rebuild kit. Anyway, if you want to do it right (dash working) then you need to replace all of the stuff that PREDATOR-Z just mentioned. as well as guages, unless you get a special one made up. But since most LT1 Camaro owners order the center console and want the upgraded gauges, you'll probably want to do the dash too. I know I did. THe A/C system is different too if you're looking to retain that. I just received my Helms 1994 manuals, I wish someone local was around to make some copies of a 1999 wiring diagram. I've already found mistakes in the $20 Pepboys (Haynes) manual.
Would I recommend this swap to anyone? No.
Would I do it again? Yes, but some smarter shopping would take place. I'm hoping to do the swap late June/Early July. But I have to move around the same time, so Im not sure if I should just wait until after the move.

I'm 95% through my lt1 to ls1 conversion. I had someone do the labor for a great price and I got one heck of a deal on the motor/tranny and I'm at $5000+ For an ls1/t56 you're looking ~$4000 alone. Anyway I'm looking forward to starting her up this week but can't give you any personal experience between the lt1/ls1 as of yet. Switching from v6 to v8 be it lt1 or ls1 you'll have to upgrade all suspension components as well as rear end...etc as mentioned above. If you find yourself looking to go the lt1 route...I have the lt1/t56 I just pulled from my car last week and it will come with many parts/accessories that will save you lots of $$...radiator,hoses,kmem, all acces,wire harness,ecu,steering rack/linkage,tranny,brand new alternator and distributor...PM me if interested.

My 94 LS1 car has been running for 5 months or so now. Either swap wont be that bad if you are halfway mechanically inclined. PM or email me if you have any questions when you go the LS1 route.
It will run like a bat out of hell, the LT1 has that down low kick in the *** torque, but just falls off too much in the top end for my tastes.

I'm wanting to do the same thing although I used my spare rolling chassis 94 Z28 already (put completely stock) so I'll be looking for either a V6 car or another LT1 rolling chassis to do it with. Already have a bunch of stock LS1 parts, suspension, engine wiring, sensors, longblock (few cams to choose from), TH350 w/transbrake 4000 stall....
