Ok guys, I have been on tech for quite sometime and do not toss feedback like this lightly, but here is the deal:

A month ago I was getting ready to return from my middle-east deployment, and I started ordering parts I needed for my car. My buddy tried putting an RK sport SS hood on my car while I was gone, he told me my lid was hitting, so I bought a FIPK from 94redz28 for $136 hoping it'd clear.

The part showed pretty quick, but when my buddy opened it there was just the fliter and coupler, no FIPK plate. I PM'd 94redz28 twice and asked him to confirm what he shipped. I got the read recipts, but no response.

I got home yesterday, and just as my buddy described, it's not complete.

94redz28 is still active buying/selling on this board, I see his msgs. Be careful what you buy off him, get pictures before hand and ensure it's complete.

Maybe he'll man up and take care of his deal, rather than ripping off fellow f-body enthusiest.

"I dont even have the plate that you are talking about. I bought my car with this kit on it and it did not have the plate, it had 2 homemade little brakets to hold the radiator in place and another homemade braket for the fipk. I never said in my add that there was a plate and i never sent you a picture of a plate.

So for the record, if anyone is dealing with this guy, make sure he itemizes every part he is supposed to send. If not you risk getting ripped off.

A filter and bellows is not an FIPK. That is just the filter and bellows. The plate is an integral part of the FIPK. I did not ask for pictures since I know what one looks like and condition was not a major issue. I assumed if someone lists an FIPK it would be complete.

Again, my review of 94redZ28 stands as poor, I would reccommend not doing any business with this person.

I'm filing with paypal, I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.

 

Here is what the add read:"I also have a K&N FIPK INTAKE off of my 98 z28. The filter was recharged about 3k miles ago. It is in good condition and i am asking $150 shipped." I sent pictures of the filter and coupler, i never said anything about having the plate that is why in my add i said "intake"

 

You should have said "filter." To most car people an "intake" sits on top of the motor...like a FAST or an LS6.

a FIPK "intake" is a Cold air intake system, which includes the plate.

What you sold is not a FIPK "intake" either. Be a decent LS1 member and refund the payment and I'll ship your "filter" back to you at my cost and retract my neg feedback.

I see your selling a Blazer. So someone has to ask if that includes an engine? Is there a rear end in the truck? You never mention if those parts are included either. The assumption is the part is complete unless otherwise specified.

For all who read this, I offered to ship the incomplete parts back at my cost if he'd refund the purchase price. He refuses to do so.

 

I have to side with black02-z28, unless you specify in the ad most people would presume that you are selling a complete setup. Please work this out, its a simple matter.

 

Unfortunately 94redZ29 refuses to take his parts back and refund the money. He claims it is my fault because I did not ask for pictures. (read the feedback he left on me)

It would be a simple matter for him to take his parts back and refund the purchase price, he's out nothing. Talking with this person I am guessing he is about 17 years old.

I have no recourse left other than to tell everyone on tech that he ripped me off. I paid $140 for a K&N filter. I feel he knew what he was doing and his intent was to defraud me.

he should have described it at a filter and bellow. not a k&n fipk cus its not the complete KIT as fipk imples the k is for KIT!!

 

Hate to hear about stuff like this...94red obviously knew he didn't have all the parts and didn't say so. It'd be easy for him to make it right, he needs to take his stuff back and resell it. If he is an honest man that's what he'd do. If he doesn't he is a thief who ripped off a LS1 tech member and a vet returning from Iraq.

Yea let's burn em' at the stake, can't stand people who willingly take other's hard earned money and take advantage of a stupid technicality... This is why internet fraud is so rampant and to have one of our own (car guy's) do it to us make's it even worse..... Where does he live?

OH and by the way.. He needed a Cam to go.. 11's.. How ghey is that?

 

Come on 94redz28, from reading the ad, I would have also thought that it included the plate, filter, bellows, etc. You need to work with black02-z28 to make this right. Come to some type of agreement between the two of you. $136 for just the filter and bellows is a rip off! Good luck black02, I hope things work out for you.

 

Take it back and give him his money back and try to sell as it should be sold.

Last time I checked, FIPK was an acronym for Fuel Injection Performance KIT


A kit would include everything.

94redz28 - Who needs to ask for photos, of a KIT that everyone know what it looks like?

Who would ever think that if they were going to get $136, for just a filter and bellows, you knew you were lying when refering to it as a kit just to get more money, that is a scam plain and simple...

Grow up and take the crap back and sell it for what it really is, a filter and bellows, and stop trying to rip people off...
