Default Just Talked To Dart.....

I just got off the phone with a tech from DART, quoted me a price of $475 a peice for bare 225s not bad...

don't remeber if the flow numbers were on the dart site but he told me that they were 303cfm @ .600

AFR 225s 320cfm @ .600

Not a huge difference but he was also telling me that you have to take into consideration the testing locations
AFR California DART Michigan so the numbers will vary due to the difference in atmosphere

No available gain #'s as of yet, but was told they will be posted as soon as they get them..

Just a little info I thought I would share, oh and if you plan to order them they are on about a three week back order

Hmm, didn't know that elevation/atmosphere could change the amount of air that a head can physically flow...

Dart Im sure will make a top quality product However....dont let the bare head price fool you once you have bought theres still work to be done.. and price will vary depending on your performance goals take it from me Im into a set of All Pros for over 3k and thats not counting rocker arms valves or springs..and those are supposed to be an "as cast head"...

But All Pro charges 1750 bare. That is 875 each. Almost doubble.
Parts will be about even and Dart is supposed to ready to run out of the box from what I understand. All Pro's are as well so if your out over 3000 dollars you had some additional work done.

Darts price is ------------->$640 a piece assembled!!!
This is going to IMO put a hurting on ported stockers, afrs,et's,and trick flows..

Dart has some of the best flow equipment in the Country..It looks like thier 205 assembled heads are going to rival everyone for ALOT less than any other option....

I find that hard to believe, but I have heard the Dart guys are talking about like 1300...

But a company can have like 500k into heads to recover by the time they hit the market so I doubt Dart will be that cheap.

I am sure I will end up ordering a set but I hate the price.
I dont want to see other vendors give up on ls1's because of Dart.
Honestly I hope they are the patroit performance of the aftermarket casting heads.
If so then AFR/ET/Eldenbrock/Trickflow/and All pro can still play big factors in the LS1 world. I think ET is the lucky one out of the groupe as their heads are more custom then AFR/EB/ and flow WAY BETTER then All pro.
They also have a 240/255/265 cc head and aren't limited to 205's or 225's.
Plus PP has a new casting soon as well.
Now Gunner if you read this dont take what I am saving the wrong way. I am using PP because they are cheeper but dont "typicially" make the same numbers as AFR/TEA/PRC/Futural/MTI/GTP/etc.
Still a great deal.
I am hoping the Dart heads are similar and are great heads for the price but also dont typicially make as much power.
Now if they do...........................
Either everyone has to drop their prices or dart will sell 20 sets to AFR's/EB's 1.

I called. 639 is complete, and assembled per each. So for under 1300 you can have a set of 205's OR 225's. THEY ARE THE SAME PRICE.
Jegs couldn't tell me what parts are included but 1300 is fair without parts so any good parts is just a +.
All they could tell me in their notes is about how good the port work is supposed to be, and that a 205 and 225cc head will be available soon.
