Hey Guys,
This is tough for me because I learned everything I know from both this forum and from this car. It made me in a real car guy, and I learned so much from building it. I even liken, very much so, building this car and all of the learning I did to building my business. Every kid should go through a multi year project where they get in way over their head.

And now I'm 33 and my wife says I've got a couple more years left before the kids come so, it's time for one last project before the kids come and the FC isn't it.

So an overview of the car.
It's an 89 GTU with Full Turbo 2 Hood, Brakes, and Rear end.
I have 2 T2 Rear Ends With Axles - One with Solid delrin mounts and the other with rubber.

Suspension is BC BR coilovers with less than 2,000 miles on them. I only ran them one summer (don't have an Odometer in the car so don't know exact mileage, but they're basically brand new)
Blue interior - Not full interior, but I do have the surround, the warning lights, the gauges, the seats.
Battery Relocation kit with universal aluminum box/battery strap/and emergency shut off switch mounted by the license plate.
I have An Extra Clutch For the car also low miles that I never installed. An Textralia OZ700 which used to be one of the most popular clutches out there. Very smooth engagement and good power handling.

Lots of Tires/Rims
17x8 Mustang wheels with Falken Azenis 15s (I think 235 up front / 255 in the back) which is what the car drove on the street with
15x8 Jeep Canyon Wheels With 27" ET Streets / RX7 Spares with Motorcycle tires up front. (At 12PSI this was a very stable setup)
15" Generic Lug wheels with 245 Nitto 555Rs and some generic summer performance tires up front (will take photos ,but the 555Rs stuck on the street better than the ET streets)

Engine / Transmission
Car is an Ls1/T56
Less than 40k Miles on the combo. Bought it with 32k miles on the combo and I drove this car about 3 full summers, so i'm figuring about 1-3k miles per year (again, no Odometer in the car)
The first full pass I ever made at the strip, in any car, I was on street tires and got a horrible 2.X 60' and the car still pulled a 12.5 at 115
a month later, after the ET streets and a Tune By Don (Slowhawk) the car went 11.67 @ 120, Stock (Just the swap kit long tubes and full exhaust) stock clutch at this point still I believe as well.
Car made 330 whp on a stingy Mustang dyno at this point
Swapped in a 228/232 cam, valvesprings, pushrods, and a Monster Stage 3 cam, and returned the car. Car now made 65 additional whp, just missing the 400whp mark on a hot day. A different exhaust could get this past 400whp easy.
Pro 5.0 Shifter, I also have the hurst ws6 shifter somewhere
1 3/4 swap headers going to a crush bent dual 3" exhaust with X pipe
LS6 Intake (came on the later Ls1s)
Walbro 255 external pump
Full PSI swap wiring harness
Video of the car idiling with the cam after the new harness was installed and the car was re-tuned:
(i'll miss this idle a bit...)
C4 Aluminum Driveshaft

Swap kit is the Ronin pedestal mounts, (the actual exact mounts he used to model the rest of the mounts off of) and a tranny transmission mount (which surprisingly worked with the ronin engine mounts)
Griffin Radiator (can get dimensions) with a Taurus fan.

Creating this thread because I need to start cleaning out the garage.
Here's the current state of the car:

Edit, I just looked back at old photos and the TransAm I pulled the motor from actually had 21k Miles on it at the time.
I def did not put 10k Miles on the car over the 3 summers I ran it so it has less than 30k miles on it

Here's the Odometer from the TransAm

So a couple people PM'd me about the whole car. I wasn't planning on selling it whole. The paint as you can see is gone and the chassis is rusted in the wrong places. I drove it for 3 years like this and enjoyed the hell out of it, but I wouldn't feel comfortable selling it to someone to use as a street car.
If you want to put a cage in it and use it as a race car, thats fine, but the plan was to pull basically the front/rear subframes from the car. which have all the good parts, pull a few interior pieces and the S5 tail lights and then scrap the body.

So if you do have a race use for the chassis and you're local, I'd love to see it still being used but its value is in its parts I think.

Getting PMs about the Engine/Transmission and the Swap Kit
Swap kit is $350 for the engine/transmission mounts

And

Engine/Tranmsmission combo I'll sell in 2 configurations

The full Pullout for $5,000:
Engine/Trans comes with the custom 228/232 cam, valvesprings, pushrods, ls6 intake, PSI wiring harness, PCM with accompanying Slowhawk tune plus baffled oil pan.
T56 W/ Monster stage 3 clutch (brand new) and pro 5.0 shifter.

Or if we remove the Wiring harness / PCM / Clutch and Pro 5.0 Shifter I'll let the longblock with accessories+oilpan and the T56 with the bellhousing go for $4,000
Still has the Cam/Pushrods/Valvesprings.

The tuner, ran this same cam in his Fbody, with truck 5.3 heads and it ran 11.17.
Thats why I was figuring a 600lb lighter car would easily run 10s I just never made it back to the dragstrip. Life got in the way.

Also the JTR swap longtubes are $650

I'd also be interested in your throttle body and intake set up. Let me know. Last bits of parts that I need

That OZ700 is a great clutch. I used one in my Firebird, abused it like an unwanted stepchild. It lasted for years, I finally changed it out when it was engaging in the last 1 mm of pedal travel. When I pulled it apart, it had worn almost all of the lining off and was metal on metal and still engaging well enough that I had raced it the prior weekend.

Hey Guys,

Had some questions about people wanting to potentially buy the roller to backhalf/and or put a 4 link in. That might be an option, like I said though I was just going to scrap the shell but here's all the ugly when it comes to the shell if anyone else has interest.

Just weighed the flywheel on the OZ700 using the not so trusty bathroom scale. Looks to be about 18lbs which sounds correct from memory.

Coilovers, Mounts, Radiator are All Sold
Engine/PCM/Harness Sale Pending Locally

Headers are still available, and I have the perfect box for them. Shipping weight is about 27lbs.
Will now sell the T56 and the Monster Stage 3 clutch on their own

Also still have both Turbo 2 Rear Ends and Axles. Shipping via pallet on these I don't remember being too bad when I bought them
Price drop on these to $400 each, or $700 for the pair. I could probably fit both on a large pallet and I'd be willing to drop them off at the local FedEx or UPS freight center (this saves you about 35-40% on shipping freight if you drop off/pick up at the local receiving center) rather than door to door.

Engine Is Sold yesterday. Getting picked up locally this weekend.

Most of the LS based parts are gone at this point, just the Oz700 clutch.
I also have an external Walbro 255 with inline filter, and an Aluminum Taylor remote mount battery box/tie down and remote shut off switch.

Now I need to start getting rid of the RX7 parts which seem to be a lot harder, other than the suspension which sold immediately.
