Over the top 5.3 s475 foxbody, with A/C and holley efi.
I've come to a point where nothing else I can to to my street/strip bike. (400hp turbo hayabusa) So I figured I'd start another project to throw money at. So I've never owned anything with a v8 let alone an ls1. Nor have I owned a ford. But putting the 2 together seems to be a winning combo. And I love seeing the ford guys get all butthurt when these swaps are done. **** cracks me up.
Enter the car. It's a 93 LX, originally green, it was repainted merbach silver metal flake. The paint is gourgous!! Here's a pic of the car before I bought it.
Naturally the guy wanted stupid money for those wheels. So I bought the car as a roller, with no engine/trans. It has frame connectors, and a built rear end with 31 splined moser axles. I had to barrow a set if wheels to get it home.
I don't have a pic after I cleaned up the interior, but it's mint.
After I washed all the dust off the car, and the first time I saw it in full daylight.
However the engine bay wasn't painted.
So I'm jumping on the stock bottom end band wagon. I already have the usual stuff: ported ls6 oil pump, head studs, and ls9 head gaskets. I'll need to pick a cam out once I decide in the exact turbo. Shooting for 7-800hp on e85. It will be a s480 of some sort. I also still need to pick valve springs too.
I have a Neal Chance turbo 400 trans. It's got all the good race parts in it minus a trans brake. I got the engine and trans from a good friend of mine. The engine sat in a barn with no heads on it for the last 2 years. The water jackets and runners in the heads had hornets nests in them, so I'll have to get those parts hot tanked. The trans sat open too, so I'm going to run through it too.
It came with a fast intake too...
The take down...
The insides were just trashed from sitting open for so long.
Even the girlfriend likes to get dirty. She's very good with hand tools. Hell she usually changes up my clutch set ups at the strip in my bike!
And now parts!
With harness
I got a smoking deal on all the suspension parts. All UPR pro series parts. All the stuff was brand new, never installed except the k member. It was mocked up and that's it.
Strange 10 ways

Over the top turbo ls swapped fox with a/c, Holley efi
And now for today. I picked up a set of used dark stars. I think it looks SO much better.
Already wants to leave on the bumper.
Boat anchor is out
Much better eh?
I'm waiting for the paint so I can get the engine bay taken care of. I also need rack bushings. In the mean time I'm planning in hauling the engine off to the machine shop next week if I have time. But them main goal is to get the engine bay finished up and have it back in the ground, and then I'll move the car over to my motorcycle shop to be finished.
Happy reading guys!

I found out about the holly system on here watching a few other guys builds and results. The big selling point for me was the auto tune for all the part throttle stuff, because I'm real stingy about part throttle tunes, and for the boost control functions it can do.
If you download and look through the software it's laid out very nicely, and is easy to navigate, and make changes.

Thank you, I'm very happy with the condition of the car. I've had a few friends offer to buy it as it sits just because if how nice it is. Even if it isn't fast, it will still be a head turner I think.

Thanks man! I totally forget to shoot you some pics when I picked it up. I thought about calling you 2 weeks ago, I rode the bike out to Galveston.

From what looks of it, it used to be a Calypso Green car. What a waste of a beautiful and rare color. FYI they only made 885 LX Hatch's in that color in 1993. One of the lowest production colors that year in that trim.
One of my roughly 2ish dozen foxbodies, and the one I regret selling the most, by far. 1991 Calypso Green LX
Anyway, on with the awesomeness.
