1970 caddy sedan deville(sinister) lq4 s475 turbo cam=)
Same question I know, but hey at least it's a different car lol!
So I would like to purchase cam and springs for the caddy, are tooleys' still preferred? And I've read/ Learned allot from the cam guru's on here, and really love the sound and results of the tick cams. Hopefully I can make some progress and keep a build thread going.
Hear are plans:
2005 lq4 /4l80e from a van
Tranny is being built as I type....
I already have a converter I want to use, it's a rev Maxx 3600 stall
And a big external cooler
The turbo is the quintessential bw-s475 (thankyou yenkomike )
I have already stripped the factory harness down to standalone and will use factory pcm
Allready have a 3bar map sensor (yep, want that much boost=) ditched maf, and moved iat sensor to just behind the tb.
the reared has a 293 ratio, and I'm not aware that I have any other options, as it a unique to this car axle.
So that's where I am now, the car is not max effort/budget build, but rather max badassness/silly fun build. So with that being said I still want to build the car as smart/strong as possible, it will mostly be a burnout machine /cruiser /make jaws drop (hopefully ) I want As much power as possible without needing to run over 6k rpm, Im not planning on ever being under 10 lbs of boost, thinking 15/20??
This is my first turbo build, and as much as I've learned from people's set ups, I still have no concept of camshafts......
Meet sinister

I just figured out how post pics! Woohoo!
I really love the caddy motor, it's a 75 500 bottom end, with the 70 heads/ intake and a mystery cam, moves that girl around just fine melts the tires off, will be hard to give up all that instant torque, but I think this setup will make do

I would LOVE to have a cruiser like this. I almost bought a triple black 69 fleetwood a couple years ago, but it was sold out from under me bc I couldn't get a hold of the seller for the 2nd time on his MagicJack phone. I've always wanted a big boat cruiser on bags with LS power (for reliability and mpg). The turbo is an awesome addition. Looking forward to seeing this come together further.

Sweet caddy. I will be watching this.
My boat of choice is the Lincoln continental... Love those rear suicide doors. Obviously need to fix that Ford problem with an LSx, though.
Sick black Cadillac, man.

Thanks guys! I actually had the motor set in, but didn't like it's position because of the steering linkage dictated how high the motor had to sit because of tierod ends hitting the oil pan, (all linkage was behind front wheels ). So then I heard about crown vic front ends and had to have one. So i went to the junkyard and grabbed one out of a 04 lincoln (to keep luxury car theme)and It's finally completed! The lower rear a arm bushings took some work because I didn't want to cut into Frame very much, so I came up with my own idea to keep them in place. I just put the drilled and slotted rotors on last night, and got the front bumper and frame section !
welded back on tonight here's some pics, feel free any questions
Frame graft
Lower bushing mounts
3/16 plating everywhere!

I've seen the Shockwaves for them, think there around 600 bucks, I've got some ideas for making bolt in bag/shock mounts for standard style bags,

Thanks! I'm with you on the Lincoln, I'd like to put a powerstroke in one someday, but I have been toying with the idea to suicide these doors, think it'd be cool with no post, just all open

I wanna see the fleetwood! "Dam these big ol girls here tonight".....
Anyway, brake lines redone and steering shaft hooked up, not very exciting, but progress. Will be fitting engine and trans tomarrow
And yes, that's hydroboost you see
