Ah ok. Streetable or no?

I remember back in the day guys hard blocking BBC engines. They said it would burn up the mains if you drove them too far on the street.

I don’t know about the ls. But I drove a genI half filled all over the streets around here

Thanks guys. It will still see some street time. I have a pretty robust cooling system and it seems quite a few guys do it.

Good to know! I guess I will keep that in mind and give it a try when the engine comes out for a freshen up.

Block rock can push the cylinders out of round. Bore and hone with a plate afterward.

It's easier to control water temps when you fill the block, not harder. You loose the surface area to absorb heat from the cylinder

Oil gets the brunt of heat the that the water fails to remove

Thanks guys. As rotary said, the oil temps become concern. I will likely add an oil cooler to help out.
