Which maf to run with a fast 92 and 92 nick Williams
Hey guys so I'm almost done gather parts for my h/c/I build my question is I have a 01 camaro I know it would be best to change out the maf and also changing the lid to a ftp one just don't if I should go with the 104mm lid or the smaller one. Anyway should I run a gm 85mm maf or a like a tsp 100mm maf idk if it will be better to choke it at the maf or at the throttle body hope someone can help me out on this

Would I seen any gains from the bigger maf and lid or is all that hype just bs I figured since the lid is 98mm would flow more air over my slp lid same with the biggger maf then choke it at my nick Williams 92 throttle body cause I would think to try to flow everything even would be best no..??

With a big lid and 102'throttle body i couldn't bring myself to run a smaller maf in between them so I went SD. I figure between all three things there might be 5rwhp or so. Again that's just my thinking

At your level the 98mm lid and 85mm maf will not choke the engine.
We have sold hundreds of these combos, installed them and tuned them. The 85mm maf is super straight forward to tune.
Even an slp lid would work just fine, but if you want the bigger lid i only go to 98mm. Bigger than that gives clearance issues, fitment issues, and is a waste for your combo.

I run the 98mm lid/85mm MAF setup and it works great but I also have stock manifold and TB. I prefer to run a MAF because I always drive on the street and it makes me feel good to have it and a screen. Some people like Jtm run SD and prefer that.
I think since you're already buying new stuff you might as well try to get as much air to the TB as you can.

Well I just bought a 85mm z06 maf for a great deal along with the adapter to make it work on my camaro so I guess I'm going that route I'll ask my tuner which one he wants to do sd or maf and then we will see what he says
